    yeah, then you'd need a gun maybe. me, im pretty confident our military are police are here to stay and if there is an invasion, im reasonably sure they could do a helluva lot better job keeping me safe than you or i could.

    as to your statement about what we all agree on, no, i dont agree with those. conservatives do have more guns maybe, but i don't believe they want a stronger military. a more bloated budget with lots of tech goodies and a lot of meddling with wars we dont need to fight... yes. but stronger... no. liberals and cons just have different ideas about what makes a strong military.

    First you have to distinguish a liberal from a conservative and adequately define the terms.

    I think by doing this you will find that what the terms literally describe is an individual who has a tendency to either conservatism (maintaining existing views) or liberalism (progression; challenging of existing views). There are not liberal or conservative political parties. All parties consist of people tending towards liberalism and conservatism on different issues. In-fact, it would be quite a tedious task to isolate a pure "liberal" or an individual who challenges a culturally historic view on all issues. The difference between conservative-thought and liberal-thought is literally open-mindedness.

    In this regard, conservatism is more closely related with "pussies" since conservatism dares not challenge existing views. Rather, it subdues rationality and reason to a pre-existing doctrine of belief. This is a most favorable stance to individuals who don't have the balls to challenge their peers.

    If the shit were to go down and nuke go off in DC or NY or anyfuckingwhere for that matter, you're fucked. A gun ain't gonna save yer arse. If the terrrrrrrrrists sneak a weapon of mass destruction across the boarder, what happens? That would be mass destruction. What you gonna do, SHOOT the radioactive fallout? If you're within a 100 mile radius you'll be lucky if you can stop throwing up long enough to say " shit, where's my gun!" Thats assuming you survived the initial blast and burns to your skin.

    Your second point, the government dissolving or the police force all packing up and going home? You are joking aren't you?

    And unless you are one of those types that sleeps with a fully loaded and unlocked gun under your pillow.....if a home intruder just happens upon your home and wants to kill your arse, well, he's gonna kill your arse. Sure, you could politely ask him to wait a sec on the killing so you can go get your gun from the locked cabinet, find the bullets that you keep in a separate locked drawer(as of course all responsible gun owners do) and load that thing up and shoot his arse first.
