i have worked with an inner city population, dealing with nearly 100% minority familes and at risk youth for quite a few years now... i have worked hand in hand with these families and communities helping to provide support and valuable resources... i shake hands and sit down and talk with guys that most people are afraid of and lock their doors when they pull up next to them... i have walked through the projects stopping to speak with people i know and going into their homes and sitting down with them and sharing a cup of coffee trying to help them with their out of control kids... i have provided help and service to my local inner city minority population, and have chosen that as my career when i could be working for one of the many banks in my area making triple what i do calling nice folks like you and offering you more credit then you need. i made a conscious decision to help people, to help at risk youth, and that has lead me to mostly help my local minoroty community.

so i dont want to hear any dumb stuff about "bigots"... i have put my money where my mouth is sister, how about you? or do you lock the door when you pull up next to a group of young black males, then come home and type about other people being bigots?

so please spare me the holier than thou over the top super pc police crap... and please refrain from labeling me a bigot because i said black people dont tip well. if you worked in a profession that relied on tips you would know that is true for the most part. thats doesnt make them inferior, they just dont tip well. that was even my friends response when we confronted him about the poor tip, he siad staright up "black people dont tip"... i guess you never heard of BPT either? it is Black Person Time... which means they are always late... my black friends at work joke about it all the time, becasue they know the shit is true.

thats why dave chappelle, chris rock, eddie murphy, richard pryor, and red foxx are so funny... because they cut through the pc crap and tell the truth through comedy. they get away with it because they are black.

trust me, i am far from a racist or bigot. anyone that knows me, knows that is the truth. but i am also not oblivous to reality

Wow, you know me that well??? I have lots of credit cards and lock my doors when black people are around at night? You are a piece of work. You don't know where I have lived, where I do, what I do. Exactly. I've read through this thread. All she's done is tried to explain her point of view & said that (gasp!) she doesn't find jokes based on race to be particularly funny. And for that she gets called names, told to shut the fuck up & to stop posting. If the OP didn't want varying opinions maybe they shouldn't have posted this on a, oh I don't know, a DISCUSSION board. :-/

"i am not racist, i have black friends" then when a couple of young black guys walk by them in the mall they get uptight and clutch their purse... i am not just going to sit back and have someone who doesnt even know me call me a racist/bigot. i have no problem with you, and i respect your pc approach... but you cant be a hypocrite and generalize me as a bigot because i said blacks dont tip? see the problem with that?

it is true for the most part, and the funny thing is i wont catch any flack for that since it is about white people. the double standard bothers me as much as the non pc bothers you.

if a white guy got up and did chris rocks standup bit he would be labeled a racist...but since he is a black guy it is ok. i find that double standard to be offensive.

and again, i really dont think i have read anything too bad in this thread that i would call blatant racism.

this whole thing reminds me of bill cosby and the shit he got for his remarks. he was DEAD ON ACCURATE, yet was called out by the pc police. more people like bill cosby need to speak the truth and help break down the walking on egg shells race realtions we have in this country

actually, i've barely said anything to you, except in the very beginning and just now, telling you that you're being a pain in the ass. i certainly never called you a douche. though remember that douches can be very useful, just not when they're overused. then they can cause a nasty rash.
