I really don't think the world DOES feel guilty about it though... or it wouldn't be happening again and again and again! Most of us have no reason to feel guilty anyway, most of us weren't around then.

i cant disagree with you more on this helen. the shoah absolutely does stand out from other genocides. the entire state driven machine and precision execution of it makes it so. youve got a government who have decided that race is everything. that the jews(in this instance) are nothing. they do not deserve to live. so, they set about to kill every last jew they can get their hands on and while theyre at it they'll invade other countries and steal their land to make germany the great nation. we're not talking about taking the males of a certain ethnicity, gunning them down and burying them in a mass grave, which in itself is a heinous act. we're talking about killing every man woman and child of a particular race regardless of them being germans. stripping them of their humanity, murdering them by direct means or by working them to death whilst keeping the german economy trundling along.
