Umm I hope this is a retalliation for my hookers and coke comment and not what you believe...
Kerry being there for 4 months and then trying to get out of there is still braver and more noble then Bush, Nugent etc dodging the war all together. Especially with their views on war in general.
Also the swift boats veterens who claimed Kerry wasn't a war hero were bogus in my eyes. Lots of people believed them but I thought it was a blatent attempt by Karl Rove to distract the public with nonsense that is based in inaccuracies or outright lies. It allows Bush to go on the attack on Kerry in Nam when Kerry was all over Bush about how he didn't have any firsthand war experience. This was the moment I knew Bushy was getting reelected. I learned from 2000 how powerful his politcal machine really is.10/31/2000 (****)

Attacking on service in Vietnam is what the Bush/Rove machine does best...

But that's not the point. The point is, the nuge is a whiny titmouse hypocrite of a human being who simply doesn't have the stones to take what he dishes out. Oh, and his music is tepid, flavorless tripe that doesn't match the bombast that comes out of his mouth - so I'll take any opportunity to exercise my first amendment rights and bash the idiot. Doesn't mean I want him censored.
i'm not defending him. he's a fantastic family man but he's also a wildman. you may not like his music but millions of others did. as far as i'm concerned; bash him all you want. if that makes you feel like a big person go for it. the man lived the american dream and retired young. i'm sure he'd see you as a whiny piss-ant.0 -
ledvedderman wrote:No, not really. Clinton wasn't enlisted in the armed services and was being drafted in. Bush was enlisted and used his pull so he could get out of doing his JOB.
That is true, but the fact is that everyone wanted in the reserves during vietnam so they would not have to go. Dan Quayle got in. So did Bush. You pretty much had to be rich and/or connected to get in. So whether or not Bush did what he was supposed to do in the reserves is not the issue. It's whether he supported a war and found a loophole from being subjected to fighting it. He did. And everyone thinks he's a damn war hero. It's pretty easy to start a war when you come from a culture of not even having it cross your mind that you or yours may actually fight one. If he and Dan Quayle supported the war, the least they could have done is subject themselves to the draft, rather than using their own perpetual aristocracy to duck it.I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.0 -

because people only see and hear what they want. when the evidence was laid out; you chose not to see it.0 -

No, that isn't the case. I watch the big three (CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC) around the clock at my house and I have never even seen anything close to what you are claiming. Not even on Fox.0 -

I would visit a va hospital, but I'm afraid the roof might cave in because of a lack of funding by our "Support Our Troops" President.0 -

Oh, and when people "retire" doesn't impress me. So when you defend him, that one isn't really going to get you very far.0 -

if he wants to pay me to say he's a big war hero i'll repeat it too.0 -
