    First part: Iran does not pose a threat to US.
    Second part: Iran does pose a threat to the area and not referring to US.

    Iran is no threat to us, that is correct. However, they are to our allies in the middle east. Clearly he wasn't speaking of the same things during each of those. The first clip was him talking about Iran as a threat to the United States...the second was him discussing Irans threat to the middle east.

    Maybe if you paid attention to what he actually said, maybe you would be able to tell that there was no contradiction...

    But I guess it's much easier to just pay attention to out-of-context, spliced videoclips on youtube and make judgements based on that.

    I can't watch the video at work, but after reading this thread I think Roland's point is that how can someone say "Iran is not a threat to the US" then talk about an illegal nuclear weapons operation... doesn't nuclear weapons=threat?

    But what I'm more interested in is why you all agree that Iran is a threat to Israel/the Middle East when it clearly isn't. I don't care so much about Obama flip flopping as I do about him saying outright bullshit. ;)

    Well, when we are talking about a country with primitive nuclear capabilities and tremendously short range missiles, yes, the US is impervious to those nuclear weapons.

    It's a very short video of Obama talking out his ass about proving the case for military action on Iran, while at the same time thoroughly contradicting his original position and ideologies on the matter.
