    Yeah, they take a while to get the hang of. I've been paddling for about six years and I still suck compared to some people I know, but they're so much fun! You could never stand a canadian canoe on its stern like that!

    All these pictures are so beautiful. I've never had any talent, sometimes I see the most beautiful things, landscapes and when I try to take a picture of it, it just... dies.

    Anyway, this thread made me realize I need to do two things, start travelling again and maybe try to take some more picture, who knows, maybe I'll get one right:D

    maybe...but one can´t fish from a kayak :p

    Thanks. I know what you mean. Trying to capture the beauty of a place that you can see with your eyes can be very challenging. That photo was taken from about halfway up the side of the St Helena Gorge, which is just a small part of a very large gorge system just east of where I live. We'd already climbed up the slope that you can see in front of the guy in the picture, and had another 250 or so vertical metres to climb to get out.
