I took these yesterday, i just got back from a camping/kayaking trip.

This was from the front of my kayak, water level, going down the middle of the river. I was taunting the rapids with my 300$ digital ..
And for laughs, with a mile left in my 15 mile trip down that river i did flip the kayak on a class 5 rapid and the camera came out of my dry hold. Its dead, but the card survived!

just opened a flickr site ... hope to put more up ...
Very pretty Polaris. Must be nice to travel and explore and see some rare sights.
WOW! WOW!
The colours are so vivid in all your pics but that one jumped right out at me. It's perfect! Gorgeous! I'd hate to taint it with my presence but, I'd move right on into that pic if I could!
More please!
Also, decides2dream, very nice pics too! The sun peeking over the coulds is just lovely!
All of you folks really have a way of catching the beauty of what's around us. Thank you for sharing!

k - bring your supplies on the 21st ...
I finally got around to sifting through your pages and there are some really nice shots. I really dug these three. I especially liked seeing the band in black and white. I have a fondess for shooting with B/W every once in a while.

gotta love our mother
No shop de photo involved in these? Beautiful!!!!
I really like pic one and three.
No, definitly no shop de photo. I never photoshop my pics, simply cause I don't have photoshop skills. What you see is exactly what I saw.
Which is the only way in my mind.
Great stuff my man!
Al lot of (professional) photographers would disagree with that. Some say photography actually begins in the photoshop (or in the dark room), after you take the photo. All depends on what you're aiming for, I guess.
But that's another discussion and I don't want to hijack this nice thread.
wow...those are awesome pics! i just got back from the tetons this summer...it could not compare to that pic during the fall!

definitely depends on the photographer, sooo many differing opinions on such. me, i am rather a purist, but sure...we all do some tinkering in the darkroom, burning/dodging, getting that perfect tone, etc......but i really, really, really....like to compose IN the camera, little to no cropping after the fact. not always successful, but it's a great exercise to aim for, to train your eye....'see' the image in it's entirety, b/c far too many start off with very lazy compositions. anyhoo.......beautiful colors absolutely in those skies!

The sky above me today:
We were out walking the other day and I brought up your other pictures of clouds and how you say they are cool. We agreed, as we like to look up at the ever changing white masses and take them in.
How do you post a picture?
Can someone help please?
*WOOOOOHOOOOOOO SPLASH* :D:D:D
don't you mean:
*woo hoo, splash, spin, laugh, shiver, drink, pass-out-in-a-chair-by-the fire*
thanks! i like the little sparkly curly-que at the top...
i want to see the rainbow pic too! I never got to see it on your camera.
i think she owes you a new bra for that!!
