Vengeange is mine, the world still turns...
freedoms disappear every moment...
time to take a stand, time to waste my time...
no time to take my time.
Unaffected leaders want no part in this...
ears stopped hearing, compassion disintegrated,
it's all clear that everything's hazy...
it's all clear that things are crazy...
Voices ring out across our land...
angrily, impatience takes a stand.
Change is just around the bend,
making differences out of compromises,
taking motions from emotions,
faking it 'till our eyes bleed...
Their time will come...
but ours is NOW!
We must separate the liars,
free the inmates of change,
bring them on, bring them on...
A declaration is at hand,
down marches the lonely band,
the music searches untouched ground,
until their truths are rarely found.

    Part of me fell apart,
    inside out,
    or the other way around,
    hit the ground and went right through,
    crush
    shadows
    what is seen isn't fair,
    trapped in a corner,
    can't get out,
    not sure they will take it,
    sanity failing
    blank
    down the stairway,
    spinning spirals,
    winding
    finding out that there is no finding out all about what I see when I see what they can't...
    it's not me,
    numb
    don't know why,
    they wouldn't hear the calls,
    voices pleading,
    for a reason unexplained,
    there's too much,
    never enough,
    half empty or half full?
    Pushing down on my chest,
    spare a moment,
    because I can't
    have another
    one of these days,
    free my heart of all thought,
    stuck in here,
    can't get out,
    keep reaching out,
    there's no doubt,
    it's over now...
    just go away.

    caring or sharing
    no sense comparing
    myself to myself
    so if I reach for the stars
    and wish upon the brightest
    will I not be left reaching?

    for escape from the pain
    not just for easy ways out
    selfish, insane
    worthless, mundane
    just describes this life throughout
    walk in the rain
    for escape from this pain
    and find only easy ways out.

    How can I see the light that doesn't shine? How can I dive in another empty pool? Who cares what I'm feeling?

    Why don't I just go get a fucking life? Trade in my poor excuse and insanity to boot, along with emotions that don't help me either...

    Seems like a fair trade, since misery likes some company, thought I'd make it better, always trying to find a solution...

    Figured that if something isn't happy, I'd make it happy or set it free, wish I could do either but I just can't face it.

    Where do we go when we're cornered, when there seems there's no other way, when escaping just isn't good enough?

    We look right back inside ourselves, find what made us happy in the first place, and brace ourselves for the ride.

    I'm hearing a slow four four tempo and a minor chord sequence. Something a bit like "Immortality". You should keep this one going. :cool:

    These cocaine blues are killing me

    You may want to read Roddy Doyle's "Oh, Play That Thing." The main character comes to mind when I read this poem. Talk about not knowing if you live or die on a daily basis, and the main character has a leg issue at the end. It's funny, though. I don't remember cocaine involved.

    the above makes me want to read the whole thread....but as I'm pressed for time.....I'll put that off for a while although I might read snippets....(snippets....hehehehehe)......I do like this one very much
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
