I think this is one of your best pieces, mainly because I can identify with it effortlessly.

In agreeance with pimpmasterdaddio seta, though. after the line "this is how my fear grows" I didn't get anything new from it.

Heres a new one
its written for my daughter.
We dont live together anymore so i wrote this for her to keep by her. Maybe one day she'll understand it.

Darling Daughter, child of the earth.
Oh Fern
I long for the day I show such wonder to you,
In time I pray you understand my heart
for I could explain the world to you
but all I am certain of is this.
The heart is a fickle thing and the world can be full of hurt
but search within yourself and the heart can be captured
and reigned , if desired.
Look outside yourself
and the world can still be full of wonder, splendour and love
Trust those friends that you feel
you can offer your heart to,
and , if true,
they'll offer theirs in return.
Know I'll allways love you
and will explain away the injustices of today
with a promise of a brighter tomorrow.

Sultry, good to see you around.

I will someday have to explain all of what is going on to my children as well as their mother and I irrevocably split ways. They will not understand why two people cannot love another anymore.

I have far too much bitterness at the fickle heart and, moreso, at the fickle whims of the body.

I know of what you mean when you speak to your daughter. I sincerely hope the gods will assist us with the ability to communicate ourselves and our minds to our progeny when the time comes to do so.

And the fact that the time may in fact be the present has not escaped me.

Good to see you back, sorry I'm in such a horrid mood.

Weekenders

Bob played the blues
and we sat and got wasted
5ft away from Baby Blue
2 hours later it was all over
never thought the day would come

" How does it feel" he sang
like a parade from here

So I sat and got wasted time and again

so im driving
and the skys as red as my face the day SHE told me "its over"
but its good and the storm is attacking the car
but im here and I'm warm and she's too.

Ryan went crazy
48 hours later
blowin and puffin his harp

On the plane far away
the moon was so bright
im sure he's trying to keep me awake

rested head on the window
but frost kept it cool
no space for my ecomomy legs
do 1st class grow limbs that are doubled in size?

too much wine
to allow me to drive
so walked on the edge of the cliff

she said I love you
and I said I do too
but did I mean it
I really don't know

After the party i fell down a hole
same hole as I fell down before
. they all fucking laughed
and I howled too,
as soon as I got off the floor.

For a bottle of wine or three or four
and a weekend I want to repeat
I'd give it all up to do it all over and over again.
