Guns N Roses Chinese Democracy To Finally Be Released

Ok, like many people I will only believe this when i hold it in my hands while I'm actually standing in a record store. I do know that when i'll listen to it that I'll be disappointed big-time but the record has no chance anymore of winning me over anyway. I've been through so many musical phases in those last 15 years since the end of the 2 Use Your Illusion records that I don't see how I could get all crazy about a Gunners album!? Maybe if it's better than Appetite ... but c'mon no one with a right set of mind can think that!! That probably leaves Axl out of the equation.

I think "album of the decade" is a little strong. This is going to make UYI look underproduced... I mean, the demos are overproduced, the thing that made GNR was the rawness. The Chinese Democracy songs are so sanitized it's ridiculous.

I'm listening to "If the World" now, it's a clusterfuck. Way too much going on. All it needs is some background audio.

Piano, synth bass, flamenco, lead, electric drums... way too much going on. At least there's only one vocal layer here. Some of the songs have like 14 Axl's singing at once.

I do like some of the songs, but there's just been more and more added to them from their original forms to what they are now, I guess that's what happens when a song exists for 6-7 years and you keep playing with it, oh well.

Don't worry about the production on this album. I can tell from the Best Buy leaks that they got it right. If The World and Chinese Democracy have a harder edge than they did on all the previous leaks and TWAT sounds amazing. The quality of the Best Buy leaks were shit but I've got good haedphones and I was able to pick out the differences easy enough.

just so you know thats when they plan to ANNOUNCE the day the album comes out, not when the album comes out. . .and now the latest im hearing is the album will be released in 2010 and is being renamed space odyssey

music subjectiveness aside, i for one hope this goes well for axl. i know it's easy to crack the obvious jokes, but he has obviously been suffering for his art over the past 15 years, give the guy a break already! he isn't going to force you to buy it, or even listen to it for that matter. sheesh :rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure there are a hundred bands on this planet that are able to make a better record if you give them 15 years and more than 10 million $ to make it.

i can think of a few myself. . .binaural, riot act, and avocado come to mind
