I'm sorry, I thought Roger Waters SUCKED. I saw him live a month ago and he was MUCH MUCH MUCH better.

    The Foos we're incredible.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

I didn't see the whole thing, but the Foo Fighters kicked ass. The Police were awesome too until Kanye West walked out on stage and f**kin' ruined everything. Did Sting actually invite him, or did he just walk out there with a microphone?
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

I hated the Police performance because Stewart Copeland looked mentally disabled.

The Smashing Pumpkins was good, and so was Roger Waters (though I kind of agree with the other poster- he was a bit off tonight compared to what I saw a couple weeks ago). I really liked Alicia Keys' set, too, plus she is fucking hot. I enjoyed the Police set, too.

and maybe more...still have to see lots.

I didn't see them all but John Mayer was the best IMO.

What's with Madonna playing the Les Paul? She looked very fish-out-of-water-ish.

What is my imagination, or did Billy Corrigan tell the drummer not to fuck up right as the Pumkins started playing. I'm no lip reader but he didn't look happy about something the drummer was doing.

Richie Sambora needs to do away with the 80's rock star look.

On the BBC's late coverage we only got Bullets, and at the start of that he clearly says to Jimmy "tell him to shut the f*** up", referring to someone off stage, or possibly one of the roadies/stage crew...

Performance seemed good, not stellar though.

    Foos absolutely ripped it up.

I never heard of that guy who covered Shelter from the Storm, but Alicia Keys' performance on that was outstanding!

I've never understood the Foo Fighter's appeal. It's just a bunch of noise & yelling to these ears

Are you referring to her collaboration with Keith Urban on the Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter"? I'm not a Keith Urban fan but I thought they both did a great version of it.
