Rocked!!!!!!!!!! I loved that. (Saturnday Night live Performance)

Pearl Jams recent live performances along with this and that Beh Harper show the other night have been pure greatness. It has been a pretty cool spring. Feels like this is going to be a good year. I feel some good things coming on.

I love Californication, classic album....however, i detest By the Way. I am excited to check out this double disk set. I hope its good. I like Dani California, I think its a strong single. They are just going to the "california" well much too often.

I agree. There is something special, and overdue, about what has been going on lately -- but, it was worth the wait. To see what Pearl Jam and the Chili Peppers are doing is pretty damn cool.

its very Chili Pepperish, not very original, PJ kick their arse on that.

i'll have to agree. It sounds really cookie-cutter and too mainstream. im used to tracks like "i like dirt" or "Fight Like A Brave" i really like the Verses, but the chorus isnt my favorite. i'll probably buy the album anyways though.

The new album just sounds weak compared to songs like If You Want Me To Stay or Sir Psycho Sexy... the rhythm section remains the best in rock but the lead singer and guitarist need to stop singing and harmonizing and get the funk out...

Give It Away continues to rock all these years later... I like the funked up soul feel they gave it before the ass rapeing ending.

Much better they chose this than any of the mediocre tunes on the new album.

Highly disappointing that they played "Give it Away". I'm a bit biased but Pearl Jam blows RCHP out of the water live.

Man, it didn't really matter if they played a new one they rocked the fuck out. They were so into it and I thought that was really really cool.

I am not saying that I don't like the song or like to hear them play it, I just thought since they have a new double disc coming out next week, they might play a new song.

They're both excellent live. Two of the few bands that actually change up their setlists a bit every night.

They're totally different energies though - PJ is more of a traditional sonical experience, RHCP is more of an audio-visual experience with alot of improvisation and jamming.

They look like a porn actor who looks like he's enjoying a good fuck but in reality is simply trying to keep "it" up.

Yeah you are right the should have probably played a new one, it would make sense. I was just really impressed with their performance on SNL.

Yeah they should start a megatour, that would be killer. I've never seen The Chilis live but I definitely have more of a desire now seeing how flea jumped off his amp and Anthony going crazy. Great, Great time in music right now.

I first saw them at Lollapalooza II (1993?) along with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ministry, Jesus and Mary Chain, Babes In Toyland, etc. They were a big disapointment, most noticably, due to Anthony's live voice. Im not a Chili's hater, they are just usually under-achievers in my opinion. Of course PJ and rest were all awesome.

God how i would want to see Flea from RHCP and Danny Carey from Tool doing a collboration! A great bassist and drummer is a good mix!
