Obama is a nice guy, but never discusses policy. If he thinks he can just 'get by' on this HOPE thing he is sadly mistaken. The only change he and the democrats want is the change from your pocket. Tell ya what, the gov't takes too much as it is, and they waste it on absurd spending programs and pork barrel projects. I do not want a nanny-state big time federal gov't forcing me to hand over more of my hard earned $ so they can blow it on entitlement programs and bridges to nowhere.

Of course we all want nothing more than for billary to go away.
You've done your homework, well said....

  • could they have gotten a worse lead singer?!? he sounds like a fuckin youth group singer... this song in general really sucks... i mean i know its not meant to be taken real serious as a song... but still... i think shawn smith wouldve worked well for this little project and i know brad is also an obama supporter... wouldve liked to see him on lead vox instead... matts drumming is solid tho :D

  • what...does the band plan to actually ENDORSE a candidate?! please.

at least they are consistent in supporting candidates with absolutely no experience...further confirming that rock stars live in their own bubble of a world.

as for the rest of us who live in the real world during real time...

anyone on here who is old enough to vote...i hope you are smart enough to do your own research on the candidates and watch the debates to make your personal decisions. kids who cant yet vote...dont let anyone...including any band...try to brainwash you to think "their" choice is the right one. dont be a blind follower

wake me up when pearl jam either puts out another record or decides to tour
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this
    all-encompassing trip?

who in your humble opinion then is a better option in this election? im not saying i especially like any of them, but it might not be a bad idea to have a young idealist not yet fully corrupted by years in congress... with a capable cabinet and congress behind him the president is more of a P.R. person anyway... and you gotta admit, experience or not, obama is a great speaker and VERY charismatic...

if not obama id go for mccain before i went with hilary... i actually wouldnt be opposed to a split ticket pres/VP this time around since none of them really amaze me... anyone care to speculate who those that are left would choose as their running mate? (i ask only because i really dont know)

Might as well endorsed Hillary or McCain.

Barack Obama who wants to continue the racist war on drugs. Barack Obama who never says anything about the Federal Reserve system that steals from the workers to pay the 1000 richest corporations.

Just another wolf in sheeps clothing. Hey what do you expect they're just musicians. I wonder who Eddie is leaning for? I always thought he was the brains but if he is also supporting Obama? I have to wonder. Stone damn, he's supporting Obama, too? I thought these guys were paying attention and gave a crap?

Ron Paul is the only candidate left that is not corrupt and/or insane.

    http://www.judicialwatch.org/judicial-watch-announces-list-washington-s-ten-most-wanted-corrupt-politicians-2007

    8. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL): A “Dishonorable Mention” last year, Senator Obama moves onto the “ten most wanted” list in 2007. In 2006, it was discovered that Obama was involved in a suspicious real estate deal with an indicted political fundraiser, Antoin “Tony” Rezko. In 2007, more reports surfaced of deeper and suspicious business and political connections It was reported that just two months after he joined the Senate, Obama purchased $50,000 worth of stock in speculative companies whose major investors were his biggest campaign contributors. One of the companies was a biotech concern that benefited from legislation Obama pushed just two weeks after the senator purchased $5,000 of the company’s shares. Obama was also nabbed conducting campaign business in his Senate office, a violation of federal law.

so i guess your NOT voting republican then...

since the last democrat in office balanced the budget and actually worked with a surplus...

you republicans are way to easy to manipulate... almost as if the last 7 years havent happened?

by the way... that "bridge to no where"... was proposed and supported by a REPUBLICAN senator from Alaska, Ted Stevens... who is currently under a separate federal investigation for accepting bribes...

nice try, some of us do our homework ;)

    also... let me guess...

after all that talk of governement taking your $... i bet you make no issue of the hundreds of billions being stolen in Iraq... or the nearly $1 Trillion spent on the military every year...

conservatives are always so funny about that... "cut taxes, cut spending, no giveaways... but make sure we spend as much as we can on the military so i can feel safe in my suburban neighborhood"

    classic hypocrites...

I have never supported the war, Bush, neo-cons, but yet I think you are playing into exactly what you say you despise. Obama is the same. He just looks prettier.
