Lowest of the Low - An incredible band...period! Three amazing studio albums...start with their first one 'Shakespeare My Butt' and go from there.
As for the Rheostatics, go get 'Melville' and 'Whale Music'...their finest two hours.0 -

a friend of mine was a huge lowest of the low fan. i think they have a lot of fans among their fellow canadian musicians as well.

my favorite canadian band from the 90's was Moist!

By a Thread. i think they broke up though. their debut was on Revelation and then they did a split with some band who sucked. they cut their second LP but it's still unreleased. awesome band.0

there's a canadian singer called Marshall Tully whose released a couple of albums, both of which are no longer available ( http://cdbaby.com/cd/tully ). I cant find any info about him on the web, has anyone ever heard of this guy?0

oh yeah, they used to blow the doors off any venue they played! and dear mr. fantasty live was one of the best. definitely one of the loudest bands i have seen live, but in a very, very good way.good call.
