pavement were probably one of the most influential bands of the nineties. check out there record "slanted and enchanted".
and wilco, well, im sure a lot of people on this board wil back me up. they are phenomenal. tweedy is a briliant song writer and pretty much all of their records are great. they are most likely the best live band around today, too."What’s Orphans? I don’t know. Orphans is a dead end kid driving a coffin with big tires across the Ohio River wearing welding goggles and a wife beater with a lit firecracker in his ear." - Tom Waits0 -

If you are defining the sounds of poo, then yes. yes, I feel your statement."It's the American Dream I am disbelieving... When the gas in my tank feels like money in the bank... I’m gonna blow it all this time, take me one last ride..." - Gone (vedder)0 -

How anyone hates Rush, Radiohead, Zepplin,Live and The Black Crowes is beyond me....what kind of shit do you people listen to?
Also.....Pavement pretty much sucks ass! I fail to see the appeal.0 -
pavement is great but I don't think i'd consider them the defining band of the nineties.
GBV obviously gets that title."What’s Orphans? I don’t know. Orphans is a dead end kid driving a coffin with big tires across the Ohio River wearing welding goggles and a wife beater with a lit firecracker in his ear." - Tom Waits0 -
what´s the big deal with pavement, arcade fire, wilco... they´re just good/normal bands for open shows.. when you would see pj opening an concert for other band, never ´´u2?´´....
and i don´t think pavement,wilco were more influential than ratm,korn or deftones...0 -
Fall Out Boy
Nickelcrap
The Fray
Bullet for my Valentine
Panic at the Disco
