With the extremly easy access to music now, how many people actually buy it?
I know lots of people who have a huge unpaid for collection.

if i only were filthy rich I'd be buying new Cd's all the time.
but cause I'm not, I buy them whenever I can.
so yes, people do still buy music.
I know a girl who actually dislikes CD's because they're so much "trouble" , she's too lazy to stand up and push play or change the CD."Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."0 -
lol
if i had a million whatever. i would certainly go buy every cd i have ever wanted0 -
I buy cd's quite often.
I also get burned cd's from friends though. I don't download much illegal music but i do get a number of cd's from friends telling me oh you have to check out this band etc etc also i've asked some buddies to burn cd's to help complete my collection of some older artist....Charlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20 -
I always buy cds, i actually wish i didn't buy as much as i did, i have an addiction to music stores i think. I can't walk buy one without going in and buying something. I like having a real copy of a cd, it makes me appreciate it more and take care of it. If it is burning I just neglect it and it gets lost or damaged. Also, I am trying to build my cd collection, i'm currently around 200 original cds.0

I do... except for boots. I have to say, this downloading system I can't make work, so I have friends burning them for me (not too many... just four or five) and I give the price of the bootleg to charity.
*shrugs*... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0 -

apparently i buy too much cause i got put on a three month ban that will end on april 25th. the ban also included books, which totally sucks.
but i do have to admit i broke the ban just once (last week or the week before), which is stellar performance by me.
so now it's 20 days and counting.hear my name

I buy a majority of my stuff through iTunes now. Easy to use...relatively cheap.
If I really like a band, I will make the effort to go out and buy the physical CD.

There's nothing like the actual cd. I buy far too many. I love the whole package, artwork, booklet, etc. I collect vinyl too.
I have nothing against downloading as it's an easy way of trying out new music genres. If I like what I hear I usually go and buy it.
I do find it sad, in this age of downloads, that album artwork could one day be a thing of the past.0 -
I donwload lots of albums, but I've probably bought 60 CDs so far this year. I too prefer to have the physical copy in my hand.printf("shiver in eternal darkness\n");0

I buy lots of cds still. Of course, I also download illegally to find what I like. I'm not going to pay to download one song to see if I like the band. I usually go to cdnow (amazon) and they let you preview 30 seconds of each song. You don't get the whole thing but usually a good enough feel of whether you'll enjoy a band or not.I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.0

I actually will buy CDs I've heard good things about or am curious about even if I haven't downloaded them already, so I guess I don't live hard and fast by the rule that I need to have heard it by downloading it first.printf("shiver in eternal darkness\n");0

I buy the albums, I read the liner notes, I read the acknolwedgments and thank yous. There are still a few of us out there."Bombs dropping down. Please forgive our hometown"0
