definitely like fiona's version better0 -
Couple more,
Faith No More - Easy (lionel richie orig)
Faith No More - I started a joke (beegees orig)
FNM's cover of War Pigs is also fantastic....maybe not better, but on par with Sabbaths'.
Aaron lewis - black
kidding. I want to stab myself in the hears with the nearest kitchen utensil when I hear him covering black. He took an emotional song and turned it into an emotional whine. If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?0 -
All of the covers that Van Halen do are better than the originals.
You Really Got Me - Kinks original0 -
Speaking of The Kinks, Fountains of Wayne's version of "Better Days" totally goes off.Rather be forgotten than remembered for giving in.

I know most won't agree but:
Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing
Ben Harper - Sexual Healing (Cover)0 -
original-eurythmics-sweet dreams
best cover-marilyn manson
original-soft cell( i think that is what they were called)-tainted love
best cover-marilyn manson
manson also did a good cover of five to one but noone does that better than morrison0 -
I totally disagree all of Bob Dylan's originals are better than people covering them except for I do like Jimi Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower he also did a nice cover of Like a Rolling Stone, he just had so much respect for Dylan but I love Dylan's originals way more than those who cover. I personally like Johnny Cash's version of Hurt more than NIN's original.0

I have always gotten shit for this one, but my favorite cover is Janes Addictions version of Sympathy for the Devil. It's early Janes, it's wild and it's live - just amazing.
Let's see what else ---
Oh I really liked that Pantera cover of Planet Caravan and I have to say that I think Rufus Wainwright does the best Across the Universe cover.0 -
sonic reducer. maybe i missed that one. the orignal was horrible.
viva las vegas
orignal - elvis? did he even write it?
cover - dead kennedys
off topic but the worst cover ever is limp bizkit's (however you spell that) version of behind blue eyes.0 -

I obviously have much love for gnr's version. Their version of live n let die is good too (its the best live), however i could do w/out the song all together...both cover and original.Whats got the whole world faking?0 -
