    The Smiths and Rush.

Morrissey should do all of us a favor and pull that trigger. End it already, will ya!

Rush is right up there with the worst bands of all time. As for playing their instruments yes they are talented but as for creating music and writing songs I would rather hear two cats fucking.

the doors... most generic blues music with a wacky egotistical lounge singer for a front man... theyve got a few good songs... but nothing deserving of "legend" status

This is where I draw the line. I think you are completely missing the depth of his lyrics. The Doors played a lot more genres of music than generic blues. Waiting for the Sun, Spanish Caravan, Land Ho, Strange Days etc..the list goes on and on. Without Jim...there is no Eddie Vedder!

  • Arcade Fire - I just don't get it.

The White Stripes - Few good songs but, not one solid album imo.

My Morning Jacket - Seems to be the latest hype around here.

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Why are you sorry to say Dave Matthews? Truly insufferable music.

I wonder if any DMB fans don't actually own a station wagon... ;)

Seriously! I reached a point during the whole Vote for Change tour where I was so sick of and irritated with Dave Matthews that I would have rather listened to a Creed/Nickleback/Puddle of Mudd mix on repeat than have to hear his garbage again. I think the CIA uses DMB live recordings to torture suspected terrorists.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
  • Personally I dislike except for maybe 2 and I said "MAYBE" 2 songs from the FOO FIGHTERS....not a FooFighters fan here at all... find Dave grohl went a little to "pop" for my taste....plus....well...my friends always tell me I'm the one not to like and listen to radio music...lol

Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I really hate them.

U2 just don't do anything for me. And right now I'm trying to get into Muse as I'm told I'll like them but although I quite like the vocals I think Iit's not gonna happen.

I'm open to all kinds of music but conversely there's plenty of artists I find obnoxious or boring like Oasis or Coldplay. Considering my age and the fact that I'm such a Who fan people seem very surprised that I don't care for Led Zep or Pink Floyd. In think Zep in particular is so overrated and always has been. I can't believe all the excitement over them getting back together. I had plenty of chances to see them in the 70s when tickets were only about $10. If I didn't see them then, I ain't gonna do it now.

    who is jesse mccartney?

when was the last time pete yorn was on mtv? if you've not heard his live album, you have no basis for speaking ill of him.

and is rookie supposed to be some sort of insult?
    and like that... he's gone.
  • Radiohead and Aerosmith

i just can't really see why either of these bands are that good.
