Nobody has commented on my first concert - it can't get much better than this (unless you took Blues Traveller off and added somebody good)

anyone else at this show - right before Pearl Jams set thousands of fans stormed from the grand stands onto the floor....it was intense - sooooo much energy in the air that day....it was just before Vs. came out, i'll never forget hearing daughter and rearviewmirror for the first time.

I lived 2 hours east of Toronto at the time and had just turned 16 which meant no drivers licence..my buddy bailed and I wasn't allowed to head to the city by myself and I missed that show..I had a hard time forgiving him ..that line up is amazing..

Yeah.........he was on lead guitar on the live album Ozzy released of Black Sabbath covers, "Speak of the Devil." So, I know that he sounded great on those tunes.........just never heard him covering the Rhoads stuff.

First concert - Beach Boys - probably around 1982 in Toronto with the parents.

First real concert - 1990 - Metallica, Aerosmith, Black Crowes, and I think Warrant was on the bill! Warrant stole the show, well no they were....Warrant.
    CNE - Toronto

  • awesome!

Yes it was. Only heard the Licensed To Ill stuff from the Beasties but it was still a great show. Run DMC was cool too but surprisingly enough I don't think my dad appreciated it as much as I did.

And I echo the Cat Stevens appreciation. That's pretty legendary, I'm envious as hell....my brother even more so.

I was around the same age at the time.... I had to work that morning, and my manager kept me a little late.... my friend and I rushed down to the CNE, and asked around if PJ had gone on stage yet... everyone said that they thought they hadn't..... we bought scalper tickets.... we got into Exhibition Stadium in time to hear "...THEY'RE ALL WASTED!!!..... Thank You Toronto!" and PJ left the stage....

THAT was the crappiest day of my 16 year old life. :(
