The first concert I ever went to with my friends was Greenday, 1994 in New York City (I think it was at the Garden). I dislocated my shoulder in the mosh pit.

Do the Beach Boys on the at the State Fair count? If so....then that would have to be it.
But, if that doesn't count it is Huey Lewis and the News at the (then) Seattle Coliseum. This was way back when he was A) still rellevant, and touring with Bruce Hornsby and the Tower of Power. I'd say I was probably 13 or 14.
yeah the beach boys count! I saw them at six Flags Astroworld when I was in kindergarten, so they were probably my first too. My parents said I've seen Carlos Santana too, but I don't remember that, so I go with Beach boys for loss of concert virginity. How are ya, ANIMAL? It's been awhile. You were right, Tom Petty was great, and we got to hear Handle with care! Tom Pretty much got a standing ovation for that beautiful gem. The whole show was fantastic. I'd love to see Tom and the Heartbreakers again.
My Dad would say it was July 1977 Led Zepplin when I was in my Mom's belly (8mo.). As I remember it-Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 Victory Tour (7 years old) with my mom.
Mine was actually the very embaressing McMaster and James back in the 90's. I was like 9 or less at the time. I try not to remember. Except the fact that a bunch of people knocked over a big lights thing of theirs and they almost walked offstage.
Offspring in 1997 (i think) Ixnay on the Hombre tour
In Melbourne, Australia at Festival Hall.
This was before Offspring totally went off the deep end into teenietosser punk-pop
It was a pretty mad concert actually, because the band finished early because people had pulled fire extinguishers off the walls and were having water fights... the band asked them to stop.. but from memory the damage was done so the band cut the set short..
I've got a Gibson without a case, but I can't get that even tanned look on my face...
bob didn't sing but annie did, the sun will come out tomorrow... is it still a concert? if not,
stevie ray vaughn, laporte civic, it was like a school gym.

This is great to see all the different age rages of pj fans and the wide range of music through the first concert. It's been fun reading everyone's first concerts!
I was a late bloomer when it comes to live music...mostly from always being broke as hell. Now there's not much I prefer doing more than experiencing some live music.
I always swore my first show would be Pearl Jam.....4/16/03

Why would you be embarrased? "Tea for the Tillerman" travels with me everywhere, even on my long drives to PJ shows.
My first . . . Foreigner opening for Uriah Heep, Dothan AL 1976.
(if you don't count all the country jamborees my dad made me attend as a child)
next real concert was The Tragically Hip in 1991 I think
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Peter Frampton
Heart
Steppenwolf
etc...
In Melbourne, Australia at Festival Hall.
