Pearl Jam - Saratoga 2000 baby!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

  • I can't believe it anymore but my first concert was Puff Daddy in Detroit. My second was Jay-Z and DMX, I was pretty scared at that one, I was way out of my element.
There's no I in team, but there's me.

The first concert I ever went to with my friends was Greenday, 1994 in New York City (I think it was at the Garden). I dislocated my shoulder in the mosh pit.

Do the Beach Boys on the at the State Fair count? If so....then that would have to be it.

But, if that doesn't count it is Huey Lewis and the News at the (then) Seattle Coliseum. This was way back when he was A) still rellevant, and B) touring with Bruce Hornsby and the Tower of Power. I'd say I was probably 13 or 14.

yeah the beach boys count! I saw them at six Flags Astroworld when I was in kindergarten, so they were probably my first too. My parents said I've seen Carlos Santana too, but I don't remember that, so I go with Beach boys for loss of concert virginity. How are ya, ANIMAL? It's been awhile. You were right, Tom Petty was great, and we got to hear Handle with care! :D Tom Pretty much got a standing ovation for that beautiful gem. The whole show was fantastic. I'd love to see Tom and the Heartbreakers again.

(Yes, I did check my ticket stubs. Yes, I still have them. No, I'm not embarrassed.)

Why would you be embarrased? "Tea for the Tillerman" travels with me everywhere, even on my long drives to PJ shows.
