The Cavs need to go get Shaq if they wanna keep Lebron, and they better keep him, for the sake of the city.

Atlanta sports teaMS AREN'T TOO FAR BEHIND even though there was some string od success with the Braves.

Nothing like Cleveland (Shaker Heights) around Christmas time.

Cleveland is the only city whose residents have an alarming case of denial about them. People in Toledo admit the city's pretty lame. People in Detroit acknowledge that their city is fucked. But for some reason, Cleveland produces this mass delusion among its residents that it is the coolest city in the world to live. It's fucking weird.

What does this have to do with Cleveland's crappy sports luck ? Oh sure, you live in Chicago, you guys manage to get some kind of championship every couple of years.

The Cleveland Indians won today, one game at a time and maybe they'll win some championships every couple of years.

It's gotta be rough being a Cleveland sports fan. I'm still shocked the Cavs lost. I didn't think there was any way that they weren't winning the title this year. Lebron looked like he was a on a mission, but didnt get any help this last series.

I'm from Toledo and grew up a Detroit sports fan. I pull for the Tigers. I had season tickets in the 90s when they were setting records for number of games lost. Don't tell me I don't know how to root for a loser. I believe the Lions set their own record last year. So don't cry to me about the Browns.

And I included my comment because being an Ohioan, I've spent my whole life dealing with a lot of people that have their heads on right, but only Clevelanders seem to have problems coping with reality. They're the weirdest people in this state.

Classy coming from someone who is a fan of a team that just got out of this 'bad luck.'

I hope when the Browns finally win it all i don't pull this shit...

hey soulsinging, what about me? Lived in Michigan my whole life and always been a Tigers and Browns fan....so there's my share of heartbreak too. :p I will agree the Browns are better off than the Lions, but at least for a few years mediocre football was better than no football. :(

The Browns are as far as my ties to Ohio/Cleveland go, but i'm very passionate about that team and it's fans, and I wanted the Cavs to win it all for the sake of those fans and the city.

Oh I wasn't rooting against Cleveland sports. I'm a Detroit/Chicago kind of guy generally (though I loathe the White Sox, I'm fond of the Cubs and Bears), but I have no ill will against the Indians (except when they're keeping the Tigers out of the playoffs, hehe). I'm just saying there's something odd about Cleveland residents totally unrelated to sports that makes them believe Cleveland is a super cool and happenin city. It's dying a little more slowly than Detroit, but it's not exactly NYC, Seattle, Austin, Boston, or any other cool/fun city you can think of! Toledo has more to do than Cleveland, hehe.

Hey soulsinging, again, I'm not saying Cleveland is a great place to live and that there is hundreds of things to do in the city, because there isn't. What I'm trying to convey is that this is a major U.S. city, has 3 pro sports teams and have not won a championship in any kind since 1964. AND IT IS PISSING ME OFF TO NO END! I was born in 1966, been a fan of the Browns and Indians since I was probably 7 years old, the Cavs probably at age 12, and in all those years there is only dissapointment. So please, take your Pistons(resent NBA champion), your multi championship Red Wings and your Tigers, who have won a world series(don't remember what year but I saw them do it I swear)and your super bowl shuffling Chicago Bears and leave all the wierd and odd people alone to wollow in their misery.
