Soon to be Oceans away - Inspired by music, love, Pearl Jam

I'd like to Share this with you guys… What is about to be my biggest life changing decision yet, this New Year's;

I'll be moving to Seattle to intern at a film festival, pursuing a livelihood in event production and public relations. After graduating communication studies here and dabbling a bit with TV, journalism and promoting local rock clubs, I've decided to take this HUGE step, leave it all behind and try my luck learning the ropes in the U.S., chose a deserving city that has always inspired me.

I'm throwing my ace in the whole, and going for what I feel is my goal in life, it is a scary move but I am going to take my chances on it.
I've always felt the highest when realizing an idea, art, a message – come to life and meet its audience, I now know that the only thing I want to do is produce, be responsible for such moments to come into being.

Hopefully all goes well and I survive the struggle, but besides my impulsive, dreamy, undomesticated nature I have this band we all talk about, to thank for the challenges I take on, and the courage I have to work up to do so. Inside Job will be playing repetitively on the 16 hour flight over, and pretty much the entire catalog will follow…

good luck to you! Sounds really fun, dont be scared. Theres so many new things to discover! .... i have thought about heading that way myself. Just quit my day job and try to make it in the music world :D I too such as you have always been drawn to seattle. I dunno if i want to go to the big SEAT but maybe near by :) Anywhere with a music scene would do as of now

Haha maybe we can help each other out one day :D

just keep in mind this is gonna be a very fun, amazing thing for you not to mention, your career! :)

  • good for you! Congrats on the big decision...it's better than go and try it than to never go and say "I wish I would have gone..."
Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

Whatever you are, be a good one --Lincoln

    Survive? Here's hoping you'll THRIVE.

I skipped my college graduation in California so I could catch a flight to London and start a career there. What an adventure! Not without unexpected bumps and challenges, but completely worth it.

    GO and enjoy!

Congrats Einat on your decision!! WOOHOO!!!

I am still at the crossroads deciding which way to go...Ill figure it our soon I hope :D
It might not be an easy road your taken, but the fact that you have deliberately chosen this road usually helps to get through the bumps and holes on the way.

Einat, you don't strike me as someone who will let anything come between you and your dreams, you seem to have so much focus and ambition... and balls :D
You'll do great, I can feel it. We should always aspire for more, it's people like you that I look up to the most. Wish I had 10% of your drive. At the very least I'd be out of Beer Sheva.

Good luck, though I don't think you need it. Have a blast girl!

    Good luck.
And remember - sometimes must be hard to be better next. Don't lose Your faith. Doesn't matter it will be Seattle or different place - don't think that Seattle is unusual and only there U can succeed.

    Take care:)

True, obviously, Seattle is another big city, almost same oppertunities as the next one, however - I did fall in love with the city's character while I visited there six years ago, with the diversity and the earthiness of its residents. And however I might be partly following an image I've created in my mind - I know passion is what drives me to work hard and reach the goal I have in front of me. So this is how I rationalize this crazy chase :)

I'd mumble something along the lines of obsessive freak in jest, but I think it's kinda getting tired and overused now.

Hey, you know what? Now that jacket of yours might actually come in handy, with the cold weather and all!
