Where was this show? I am assuming it wasn't when PJ played TFF in DC.... I was at that show, day 2 I believe after someone was struck by lightening on the first day (which closed the show). Anyway, PJ came out, played for a while on the second day, and defered the rest of their set to the red hot chili peppers since they were "cancelled" along with part of the first days performers.

Thanks for YL & Free World, they sound great. Any chance you could make Corduroy & Long Road available again?

    You´re welcome.
Yeah, I´ll try to make them available as soon as possible!!

Can someone please post a link to this, or send an mp3 to my email? Thank you!

I'd like to hear this version as it seems like the consensus is this is the best version. My wedding is in 9 weeks and I'd like to try to get it on the play list.
  • You can listen to it on pearljamlive.com. It is the only show listed for 1997.

This is BY FAR my favorite version of Yellow Ledbetter, too. The part that did it for me is the bridge. On the pearljamlive.com version, the bridge starts at 3:43 in. After the first couple of measures with the jangly, bluesy type feel, he starts steady strumming the notes. To me, it just made the version even more emotional.

    Good post, Badmind!

I was at that show!! That was the last time I saw PJ, but I will finally get to see them this year again at Bonnaroo - hopefully a much longer set :)

This is a great performance!! If i'm remembering correctly I think Mike and Ed had to borrow instruments from REM for this... is that right? Anyway this is also available in both FLAC and MP3 on my blog.
