Are they still on hiatus or did they find a "new, new" singer?

It will be hard for me to not always want Kings Of Leon, Best Pearl Jam opener ever! ;)

Blind Melon would be great if only Travis hadn't left the band :(

I know these 2 are not "unusual" per se but I would love to see them open for PJ again:

Sonic Youth (they have new album coming out on June)
or a Sleater Kinney reunion to open for PJ :D

    I would be in heaven!!

Drive-By Truckers - does anyone else love these guys, even without Jason Isbell?

Yes. I like them better with Jason, but they put on a great show regardless.

Actually, I think of it the other way around. I prefer Jason with the DBT. I think they do fine without him though.

The DBT would be an excellent opener. I'm telling you, having Patterson and Ed trading verses on Let There Be Rock (or Ronnie and Neil) would be great.

Kathleen Edwards, Heartless Bastards, Jenny Lewis, or Grand Ole Party would be great 'newer' openers. For classics, go with Social Distortion, Los Lobos, or X.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I know they opened for the Black Crowes a few years back...would be a high energy show for sure.

Panic at the Disco? Help those kids shed that icky Emo labeling? Pretty, Odd was a really great album.. I realize it was mostly the producer and studio capabilities.. but a good record none-the-less.. Or maybe Ani DiFranco? Perhaps The Black Crowes?? How awesome would that be? They are on the smaller venue/theatre circuit now so it really isn't out of the realm of possibility.. Or.. How about Stereophonics? Modest Mouse?? I would like to see them bring out a more established act as more of a double-bill than something odd and obscure (ie-Murder City Devils)

Biffy Clyro!! - they're not doing too much in the summer but have supported linkin park and muse, so who knows - would love it if this happened though (then again I have seen them 3 times already). :D

Kathleen Edwards would be great for the Toronto show! She's amazing!

  • The Whigs, Dan Auerbach, or maybe Jim James solo? I guess none of those are that unusual...
    or how 'bout the Thermals?
