    Mud http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mud_2012/

Story about a boy looking for someone or something to believe in. Unfortunately for him - it's love. Excellent performance from the entire cast - weakest link being Reese Witherspoon. Story was simple and the characters really engaging.

star trek into darkness ... a big meh ... disappointed actually ... too much retreading of old star trek material imo ... great cast and effects are lost on horrible storyline and script ...

Really looking forward to Man of Steel. I'm not sure what to expect though. I loved 300, but thought Watchmen and Sucker Punch, while visually pretty, were lacking in many areas. I hope that the Zack Snyder/Christopher Nolan team is a good fit. The preview looks awesome in scale and scope.

I sort of take issue with it being PG-13. The source material never came close to PG-13. This tells me that it's probably a sensationalist reboot that could give two shits about truth, justice and the American way.

Batman, I'm fine with an R rating. From the beginning, the source material for Batman has always been dark and more grown-up than the squeaky-clean Kryptonian.

I think some of the PG13 is more for the action, violence, and language. Not sure if they would have been able to get around that.

But I am hoping that it is more realistic in the sense where there are all kinds of questions about how a superior being would fit in here, and if the world would even accept him. Not one that a nation or planet would blindly love him right from the start.

I haven't seen it but my aunt and her husband did; she loved it, he hated it. From what I could gather from her, it's on the comical/satirical side. So, I'm thinking I'm waiting for the rental. I want to see The Heat and/or World War Z. Something for s&g's.

I'm interested in seeing "The Wolverine". It can't be worse than "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", right? Anyone seen the new one yet?

Gravity, new Alfonso Cuaron movie, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, Astronauts disaster movie 8-)

The idea of being lost in space creeps me the fuck out. That looks good and creepy.

At some point i would take the helmet off and let go...but what if you woke up and saw this?

Saw what, a flat screen TV on its side?

Saw it a few days ago, Some nice action scenes, a few good parts, but overall it sucked. Checked it in 3D which was done well, as in, it added to the movie.

But they need a new Wolverine, a darker more scary Wolverine.

(I like the Comic book Wolvie so much, that I really want to like the movie versions, but they are just so sub par, they should rather just adapt the animated version of X men from the 90's to the big screen. Those tv shows were well written)

Thanks for your take. I'll probably wait until its out on video then.

I saw Avatar in 3-D. Never again. It's a terrible experience for me.

I saw avatar in 3D and said the same thing. It drove me crazy. I hated it.
But I broke down and saw Life of Pi and Jack the Giant slayer, and 3D is much better these days.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Thought Wolverine was solid. I thought it could have ended a better. It was much better than the first and X-Men 3.

3D is such a gimmick, can't wait until it dies off.

For the most part, I thought all the X men movies were mostly junk, with the exception of 'First Class' which I thought was really quite good. But ya, the ending of Wolverine....very weak!

3-D done well is a good experience, but I know many people who just are not fans of the tech.

I have a 3D TV, and it suffers from 'Visual Ghosting' during some scenes in movies, so I prefer 'active' lenses (the glasses that take batteries) which for the most part provide a higher resolution picture, where is Passive glasses cuts that (resolution) down quite a bit. Plasma Tvs are better than LEDs for viewing 3D (Panasonic Plasma Tvs are tops)

For example Avatar depending on what Tv set you check it on could look amazing or really bad, Just like most 3D movies.

Now 3D on those new 4k Tvs will probably make a fan out of many of the people turned off by the current 3D experience.
(Passive glasses on a 4K Tv is fine due to the already high resoultion of 4K)

Saw "The Butler" this weekend. I thought it was pretty fantastic.
On a side note, during the openers, saw a preview for a movie called "Home Run"--- OH. MY. GOD.
