That sounds like my experience with all of Baz Luhrmann's films, except I usually only make it for 10 minutes. And I skipped his William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet completely, expecting that it would likely result in a trip to a mental institution for me immediately after watching it.

caught Secret Life of Walter Mitty the other day. Cool flick. Wife and I both really liked it. And we borrowed the bluray from my wife's brother and found that the soundtrack was included in the box. Some really great music from Jose Gonzales!

Going to go see the new Tom Cruise movie tomorrow morning. 11:45 AM matinee. I don't think I've ever gone to the movies that early before. Gonna have a late breakfast and hopefully it won't be too busy in the theatre. AVX theatre, 3D. Hopefully score the back row. The movie has 90% on rotten tomatoes from both critics and movie goers. Should be good.

Just watched The Place Beyond the Pines. Pretty good - I enjoyed it - but it makes a dramatic u-turn halfway through the movie. I was really enjoying the first half, and then it's almost like a whole other movie altogether suddenly started. Both movies were good, but I liked the first one a bit better, lol.

    Prisoners.

@-) It was excellent IMO, and there is some great acting in it, but also one of the more disturbing movies I've seen. At times it was actually upsetting.

Warner Bros has aquired the rights to make a movie based on the video game "Space Invaders" .... I thought the failure of "Battleship" would scare these guy away from making dumb movies but I guess not.
