  • Going to go see the new Tom Cruise movie tomorrow morning. 11:45 AM matinee. I don't think I've ever gone to the movies that early before. Gonna have a late breakfast and hopefully it won't be too busy in the theatre. AVX theatre, 3D. Hopefully score the back row. The movie has 90% on rotten tomatoes from both critics and movie goers. Should be good.

Just watched The Place Beyond the Pines. Pretty good - I enjoyed it - but it makes a dramatic u-turn halfway through the movie. I was really enjoying the first half, and then it's almost like a whole other movie altogether suddenly started. Both movies were good, but I liked the first one a bit better, lol.

    Prisoners.

@-) It was excellent IMO, and there is some great acting in it, but also one of the more disturbing movies I've seen. At times it was actually upsetting.

Warner Bros has aquired the rights to make a movie based on the video game "Space Invaders" .... I thought the failure of "Battleship" would scare these guy away from making dumb movies but I guess not.

The Maze Runner comes out this week. I feel like I've been watching promos since March for this movie. Looks like Hollywood has turned away from vampires and werewolves to the teenage versions of The Running Man to attract kids.

The trailer for the new Brad Pitt movie Fury appears to be one of those trailers where they give away every point of the movie's plot twists and outcome in a 60 second commercial. I had the same feeling about Oblivion when it's trailer came out.

  • I needed to take an Advil halfway through Horrible Bosses 2 because I was laughing so hard I was getting a headache. The first one was just as funny, too. Might be the funniest back to back movies I have ever seen. I really hope they make 1 more.

Is it really? Cuz It seems like one of those where yeah the first one was epic, and I just don't see how they can follow that up...? I have my doubts...lol

It's just as funny or funnier than the first. And everyone is back, including Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey- although not as much. And Chris Pine and Christopher Waltz are great too. A nice surprise was seeing Mike from Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul playing a cop. But hey, movies, especially comedies, are subjective. And the reviews weren't great, but I am so glad we took a chance on it because ai usually don't if it has bad reviews. I hope you watch it and like it as much as I did!

Just got home from watching Insurgent. I can't get into Shailene Woodley - something about her voice bugs me. Also it very distracting the way her eyes dart back and forth when she's looks at someone - she looks like she's playing pong.

Age of Ultron looks cool, so does Mockingjay II and Pixels. Shaping up to be a fun summer at the movies.

I think I'm going to go with D Boxseats for Pixels.

  • I recorded this Jake Gyllenhaal movie called 'Enemy' and I can't wait to watch it.

This guy is batting .1000 right now. I haven't disliked 1 movie I've seen him in. I've enjoyed everything. Night crawler. Source Code. Zodiac. Prisoners. End of Watch. Loved them all. Not many actors I can say that about. He's got a boxing movie coming out too. Trained for 6 months and got right ripped for the role. Gonna catch that one in the theater for sure.

Donnie Darko was awesome. It was him and his sister. I really liked source code.

I've been trying to watch some indie movies before time warner takes them away but I have a hard time sitting down for 2 hours to watch a movie when I'm at home. It requires too much of my attention.
