Listen - I love PJ as much as anyone here, and actually really liked Riot Act when it first came out. I hadn't listened to it in a long time, but I put on Save You today, and YUCK - the vocals are really poor in my opinion. I really like this song live too. Same with Green Disease, Half Full, All or None. It's really just Ed's vocals on the album - he admitted to rushing through it. He sounds tired and out of breath. Thankfully, Avocado is one of my favorite albums - I was worried that PJ didn't really have anything left in the tank studio-wise after Riot Act.
The band has admitted to Binaural and Riot Act being their "valleys" among the "peaks". Hey - if you love the album, great. But I don't really understand how someone could think Ed's vocals are up to par on this one.0 -

While I do miss the Yield thread I love the fact that whenever I want to talk about Riot Act I can come to this thread and know that as soon as I get done posting the intimidated Yieldey's won't have bumped their thread to the top just because they see the RA thread at the top of the page!"The leads are weak!"

False. The YIELD thread would already be on the front page.

I love matt but jack would have added more balance to riot act, toned it down a bit and let the emotion take over between band members. Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.

What on earth does this even mean? Could Jack control the band's emotions? Wow'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'
