Why do you think Chicago has not sold all tenclub seats??

    Personally I think it's kind of a little backlash against the announcing of a couple shows here and there. I think a lot of people aren't traveling to Chicago because they know there will be other shows announced and are a little tired of the announcing a few shows here and a few shows there game and will just wait it out until the official word is given that there are no other shows this year.

    I agree with this. I live near Chicago so I jumped on the chance. I am waiting for Noblesville and Alpine. This is good people not traveling to Chicago, I might get a good seat. I don't see a problem with annoucing a few shows here and there. I think it gives a lot more people a chance to see a show. When you announce a show, everyone and there mother are hitting "refresh" I kind of like this approach. They have tried everything and still can't please most people.

    Maybe this is the 10C members only show that everyone has always wanted, and they're just not telling anyone yet. Every seat in the house is reserved for a 10C member. How great would that be?

    For the record, I'm just brainstorming this idea. I haven't heard anything.

    This is true, I have never been denied a chicago ticket. The hole floor is ten club, not to mention the sides more then half way towards the back of the venue. Good answer.

    I also think there is just less and less demand every year. Remember the 2008 shows? Some of them didn't sell out 10C seats either.

    Well, maybe it's a different economic times but the one fan club show in 05 - Wachovia sold out in like 20 minutes. I just think people are annoyed by the announcement process and are confident that other shows are going to be announced.

    (I know technically there were limited fan club tickets for Borgata and HOB but those venues are so small in comparison and they were special shows. The only standard fan club show in America in 2005 was the Wachovia Center.)

    This has surprised me as well. I remember in 2006 the website crashed when tix went on sale and i freaked out but eventually got them (I think they sold out night 1 for chicago in a few hours) and night 2 was announced the day night 1 went on sale. both sold out fan club tix sooner than this show....strange.


    People across the Midwest would travel tho, wouldn't they? especially at the end of summer...

    I went to Chicago for Lolla but can't go for this. It's just not a good year. I've been thinking of going to Austin but probably can't afford that, either.

    Probably sticking with local concerts this summer. Red Rocks is local so I can't complain :)

    an abundance of 10 club seats and the fact that people
    are forced to be much more frugal with their concert dollar these days.

    that said, i do find it very strange there are still tickets available, 48 hours later.

    just sold out, right after i tried to purchase them for my parents. oh well, theres always the xrt presale tomorrow. we'll see what kind of seats are available. im guessing only 300 level or behind the stage.

    I'm guessing Chicago didn't sell out quickly because we didn't get any email notification!!
    I've been a member since '97 and I just happened upon the info for the Toronto show while surfing the net in the wee hours. I have ALWAYS received emails about everything from the 10 club until now.
    I then checked the site after seeing Toronto and freaked out when I saw Chicago!
    I bought at 4am this morning and I'm still just tingling with my good fortune!
    Believe me Chicago fans hold no ill-will. We are one of their biggest fan based cities. There are people all over the midwest who are swearing up a blue streak right now because they simply did not find out in time. We have been dying to have a "regular" Pearl Jam" show!
    Granted, Chicago has gotten screwed on both the 2007 tour with the impossible Vic Theatre (capacity 1300) pre-Lolla show and then followed by Lollapalooza where we got to see them with 59,999 of their other fans.
    Lets not forget 2005 tour where the only Chicago date was the $1000 a head Charity event with Robert Plant at the HOB.
    The Windy City was due for a normal show.
    And quit complaining about the ticket prices. $148 for a pair is nothing. When was the last time you went to a concert? $74 out the door is CHEAP!!! Wait until you see what the behind -the-stage-nose-bleeds will be selling for on eBay.
