going to a concert alone...
hey guys...i know i know its a silly question, but has anyone ever been to a concert alone??? i´ve seen pearl jam 6 times before, but my old concert buddies either moved away or are not in berlin this summer...but its my favorite band so i think i just go by myself...will be a new experience :?

i missed on a lot of concerts because i couldn't find anyone to go with and didn't want to go alone...but really i go to shows to see music so having someone with me really doesn't matter but it is nice to share the experience
Eddie Vedder solo: 2008 - Boston night 1 & 2 || 2009 - Albany, NY night 1 & 2 || 2011 - Hartford, CT, Boston, MA
I find I am more apt to meet more people, as they are more apt to say hi to someone who is alone. It gives you the freedom to not feel guilty about asking someone else for anything or wanting to do something that others might not want to.
Enjoy the show(s)!
It's really not that bad. The break between bands can sometimes be a little awkward, but usually you can strike up conversation or just zone out. Socialising helps if you talk to people in the queue though, people are much more approachable in a queue than once you're instead and the music is too loud in the breaks is a bit too loud just to introduce yourself to a stranger.

'09 - London, Manchester, London

Don't miss out just because you don't have someone to go with!
made him ... want to be everywhere
there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."
How could YOU not make freinds!!!!!
I've sat by myself before(HARTFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!).............but I would totally go to a show alone!
If you have the chance, head over to the pre-parties you'll meet ton of great peeps!!!!
im mainly jumping up and down and ill grab the person next to me when an epic song is played regardless of who it is..
ahh i need a good show now
you should definitely go anyway...worst case scenario - you're bored until the show starts...once the action begins, though, it's fun no matter what.
PM me with any comments or suggestions for the app - or weigh in <a href="http://forums.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=167611

Me too, plus a couple other small shows by myself. Even when I go with someone, I kind of feel like a concert is an individual experience - for me anyway, I just get lost in it, and don't much care who's around me.
LOL Yes! I am friendly....can't wait to meet you EddieWouldKnow
great thing about it is 99% of the people are fans of the same band you are, so you have something to break the ice right off the bat. also freedom to move about is a positive.
only negative is the drive home in my opinion.
hope you go, have fun.
Unless I'm bringing my wife to a show, I find it easier anyway. My friends are barely casual fans of PJ, so when I've brought them in the past I've felt obligated to make sure they're having a good time.
