I dont have any sources (apparently I'm the only one on this board that doesn't know a concert promoter or a radio station DJ) but if you look back at the tour dates for the last 15 years or so (at least since No Code), there's been a pretty expansive tour within a month or two of the album dropping. If Backspacer is coming out in September, history seems to dictate they will be playing somewhere this winter and next spring.
I don't know anyone either if it makes you feel better.

I think by now the band is keenly aware of the following that they have, and that their fans do FOLLOW them to the ends of the earth. And I have said it before, it would be nice to be able to PLAN a little. Just a little...
Nickleback fans dont travel. They have their itinerary months in advance.
Do TOOL fans travel alot?? They have had ample time to gear up...
Mr Petty and his Heartbreakers always give plenty of PLANNING time...
VedderGirl77 and the bunch bring up very good points. Congrats to Canada, Congrats to the West Coast, but WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR THE MIDWEST? Yes, believe or not, there are other cities in the Midwest besides Chicago!
Another really great point. We are getting older. We are starting to have kids! I saw in a Walgreens in store ad for customized Magazine covers with your own pictures, and there was a little baby with the powder blue PJ bolt onesie.
If you are going to sell stuff for our kids, please help us out with planning. Just a little bit!

True that! It is funny to see people in New York or Boston or Philly whine about not getting a show, when they just had tons of shows in their back yard last year. I live in the middle of Ohio, and there are plenty of cities such as Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Indianapolis, etc. I would gladly drive to for a show, but not all of us have the time of the money to make a long drive to Chicago, get a hotel room, etc. I am not complaining, but I haven't seen Pearl Jam since 2007, and oh yeah, I had to drive to Chicago to do it! So it would be sort of nice if people who have seen a show in the last two years, without having to drive more than two hours to do it, stopped complaining about not getting a show, and give some of us other folk a chance to complain for once!

Well put RiotAct10 - I've traveled the last three years at least five hours to see them and the prices for everything (gas, food, lodging) has doubled since they were here last in 2006. Plus now my son is old enough to go as well. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati would be awesome. C'mon Spread the love guys! I hope PJSteelerfan is right about a big tour announcement SOON!
