Strong (literally 14%) from my hometown

Boulevard Double Wide is still one of my favorite beers.  Wish they would send it out east...

    How was that one?

The Tree House difference is real.

A friend was on vacation in that area and just came back with 2 assorted cases of Tree House to split amongst 4 of us.  We're splitting it up tomorrow....can't wait!

Very good.  I can only get their smokestack series here in Milwaukee.  I enjoy their Double Wide IPA as well.  If anyone ends up in KC for a visit, I highly suggest touring Boulevard.

Great beer. Was lucky the brewery was next to my sons training facility when I lived in Boston. The 617 IPA is good as well if you ever come across it.

Big fan of Ninkasi. Their Winter Warmer Ale (Slighr) is fantastic.

I think I'm going to hit a new spot today and pick out some tasty beers for the weekend. My beer fridge needs to be restocked!

  • TG/Weldwerks is quite a collab....I'm sure that was delicious.  This Phase Three/Other Half collab was also very good...

  • Other Half is opening an outpost brewery in Philly. Beyond excited.

That's awesome.  They make some great beers.  They've been doing drops in the Chicago area 2-3 times a year recently which has been quite enjoyable.

Yup. Their Beer Hall is awesome. We're going by there later this week, actually.

Lots of great newer breweries in KC worth checking out as well (Alma Mader, Nimble, Grains & Taps, New Axiom to name a few). Give me a shout if any of you all are in town.

Yo guys I think I may be legit allergic to IPAs now!  Been drinking them for years but now I feel sick and I break out in hives whenever I drink one.  I feel fine after lagers and stouts.

Wow---I've never heard of that happening. Is it one beer (or IPA style) in particular or all IPA's in general?

I mostly drink IPAs and noticed with certain ones I'll have a stuffy nose for part of the next day. I don't know if it's the barley or hops or what.

IPAs in general.  It started gradually and has been getting worse and worse.  It's pretty wild.  Fortunately, I've tried so many damn IPAs over the years that I don't feel like I'm missing much.  I could get away with having like one at a time so I do every once in a while.

If you told me a year ago this would happen to me, I would have been devastated.  But with all the BS going on in the world I've learned to just roll with the punches lol.

It helps I like other types of beer and that I love bourbon/rye whiskey and those have no effect on me at all.
