I am truly sorry for your loss. Having to make a decision like that is the hardest decision one has to make. You have my support as well as sympathy.

My girlfriend and I had to put our cat down this past fall and it was one of the hardest and saddest decisions I have ever had to make.

Although the loss of a loved one is impossible to get over I am hopeful that in time your pain and saddness lessens.

    Again you have my sypmathy.

There is a web site called Rainbow Bridge that is especially for those of us who have gone through losing our dear pets.
I am sorry for your loss. Please take a look at that site. It is a place to help you grieve with others who understand.

I was reading it weeks before when we were told nothing could be done, helped me but scared me a bit, it's a good site.
    Thanks.

I can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I'm typing this with tears in my eyes because I understand your pain. It's been almost 2 years since we put down our kitty Max, he was 17. I still cry.

Try to hold on to the little comfort there is in knowing that you loved your kitty enough to not force him to suffer. It was the right thing to do, I guess that's why it hurts so bad.

    Take care.
I wish a guy like Eddie, would like me.

We're dealing with this right now about my favorite cat. He's just a few days short of his 13th birthday. It is such a hard decision, but we don't want him in pain or to have a poor quality of life.

He's in Annapolis tonight at a specialist hospital. The cardiologist is going to call us tomorrow to let us know if there was any improvement. It doesn't look good. He's had a very good life as top cat in our house, but it is very sad for us.

when i was 5, i got a cat as a present for starting school. in fact, i got two. sister and brother. the sister got hit by a car early and passed away. i cried. but the brother, (dickie) lived for the next 16 years. i was an only child. he was my best friend. the last night i spent with him, he couldnt even make it to the water dish. we laid there together, knowing it was his last night on this earth. i couldnt even go the vet with my mom in the morning. i walked in a park alone, crying, while he was put down. i was devastated. hardest thing ive ever had to live through. i still love him to this day.

sorry for your loss, hang in there. thinking of you.

Thank you. We did have to put him to sleep today. He wasn't improving, and started getting worse. It is tough, but he had a wonderful life, and it was just his time.

We had to put down our dog that my wife bought when she was in college 13 years ago last night. He's had hip dysplasia for some time, but it became obvious in the last week that we couldn't let him suffer any more. He could hardly stand up anymore has started crying for help just to get to the food bowl. It was the toughest decision we've ever had to make, but the right one. I can't even look into the back yard right now without tearing up. Even though it was definitely his time, it hurts like losing a family member. We'll miss you dearly Guinness.

just reading this is making me cry. I am so sorry for your loss. I had a german shepherd who suffered from that.

    I'm feeling sorry too.

I brought my cat to the vet three times this week, including today, because she had something stuck in her stomach and she couldn't evacuate it.

She's recovering, but I really thought it was the end, so I understand the feeling.
