why do you think they will head to chi town after TO? Wasn't there a big rumor about philly for early spet? hmm guess it would make more sense for them to head out west after TO to get over there by end of august, then head back east for sept, then end up in the middle with ACL in TX by october.

Seems like a lot of traveling out of the way to me... but I couldn't be happier that they are touring!
    Here is why:

    1. I read on another PJ board that "sources" in Chicago has said that Pearl Jam was going to play at the United Center this summer (might have even said August specifically, I don't remember).

    2. Chicago is "on the way" to San Fran from Toronto. LOL ... technically.

    3. If PJ was to pick out one city in the midwest to play, Chicago is the obvious choice.

    This is PURELY CONJECTURE.

Way to let the cat out the of the proverbial bag. I hope your source over at Live Nation doesn't get canned by your lack of respect for them. Yes, it's super cool that they MAY be coming to TO and those TWEETS have been chirping for some time now, but my dear PJ friend, why oh WHY would you put your friend's job on the line or your friendship for that matter by dropping that info to the masses this early?? Yes, it's just the Pit, and who cares? But, for those of us who have the leg up on the facts....I'd be careful on what you tweet. Enjoy the rain.

Are you serious? It's not like he is posting the name and phone number of the dude - pretty sure there would be hundreds of employees at LN who would be privy to potential tour dates, not to mention band contacts, management, venue, etc., I doubt too many jobs are lost when "leaked" info generates positive buzz on a band's message board. Thanks for posting. I wouldnn't expect the RCMP at the door any time soon.

If this show is true I just hope that we get a few days notice about tickets before they go on sale...

Speaking as someone who doesn't spend a lot of time on the forums (or even the internet), I would be disappointed if I missed a 10c ticket sale because they went up as fast as they did for the European shows...From what I understand they were on sale as soon as the dates were announced. That scares me a little...

EDIT: Someone please correct me if I am wrong about how Euro tickets went on sale...this is just what I heard from others...

Unfortunately, you're right. Thankfully, for places like Toronto for the past few tours (correct me if I'm wrong) Ten Club tickets were available for a very long time without selling out. I know that for one of the shows in '06, roughly a week before the show, I simply emailed the Ten Club and asked them if there are any seats left, as I had missed the opportunity to buy tickets. They allowed me to buy a 10C pair, but with no seniority. The point is - they will have an excess of available tickets.

And the award for the worst post in the history of the Message Pit goes to...

Pretty hard to get a guy fired when I don't even know his name. Like I said, it is not coming directly from "the source". If the source was someone that I knew, I would not be implicating him.

And you need to take it easy man. It's not like this is the first rumour that has ever been posted here. I doubt that Live Nation is going to read this and I doubt even more that if they do, they are going to contact the FBI to track down and fire my "source" ...

I can't believe I just spent this much of my time replying to your post ...

Well put BeerBaron, That was indeed the worst post ive ever seen! What a load of shit. Thanks for heads up, even if it comes to nothing.

On the other hand, you are a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE person for what you've done! Have you no shame?

this makes zero sense. why would you start in toronto a week before you have to be in s an francisco?

Exactly why I think this does make a little bit of sense. Think about it ... they are in Europe for FOUR shows. That makes no sense. Then 2 weeks later they are in San Fran. It only makes sense to fill those 2 weeks with shows and if the south is getting shows in Sept/Oct, they probably just picked a couple of cities that they like playing that are between London and San Fran and slotted them in. Toronto makes sense.

Like I said, this may or may not happen and the info is not info that I heard directly. But it sounds solid.

Here's my hope... A quick Canadian tour!!!! It doesn't take long to hit a few major Canadian cities heading from East to West to get to the West Coast for San Fran.... Toronto... maybe Winnipeg?, then of course Edmonton and Calgary and Vancouver before heading home to Seattle for a quick visit with family before hitting the road again... just my thoughts!!!

They almost didn't let me in for Ed's shows last year in Vancouver. They said since it was over ten years ago I could come in. They made us sweat it out for 30 minutes or so too. I know someone else had to pay a hefty "fee" to be let in.

If this happens, I have to figure a way to get across the border. The last time I tried going to Canada, I got denied after a 3 1/2 hr drive because I have a DUI. I think I remember them telling me I have to apply to the Canadian gov't to get across or something. :(

They almost didn't let me in for Ed's shows last year in Vancouver. They said since it was over ten years ago I could come in. They made us sweat it out for 30 minutes or so too. I know someone else had to pay a hefty "fee" to be let in.
Its only been only 8 years for me so I dont think I would risk it. Well, its Pearl Jam so I might f ing chance it. ;)
