what kinda prices were you all getting then?

I just looked at a Virgin train return for two of us from Manchester to London on the Tuesday morning, returning Wednesday afternoon via Coventry (which is on the way back to Manchester anyways)....

    £259.85

    FUCK-A-DUCK!!!!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I think we might coach it to Manchester, Train to London from Manchester and then Megabus back to Cov from London... it'll be a pain in the ass but soooooooooo much cheaper :?

thats cos you're trying to book after the 12 week thing... wait 2 days and then book it through

    http://www.nationalrail.col.uk

they give you the cheapest single prices... dont buy returns...

wait till thursday or perhaps even tomorrow and if its off-peak times your prices will be much much lower than that quote above.

i've been to london loads of times in the past few years and the most i've ever paid was £48 return...
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Thanks... Dave had a look and found them for £11 the week before we're due to go so we're gonna wait a week and book our seats for cheaper. I feel quite sorry for him, I just text having a right rant about the prices and how "getting the fucking coach would be cheaper!" and how Virgin are "robbin' C U Next Tuesday"s

Ah... If only I had patience...

if its cheap enough i'll go 1st class... it doesnt matter so much about the split-up as its only 2 hours isnt it... in London for lunchtime... nice! 8-)

I've no idea where you guys are finding these cheap fares :?
The cheapest I found was £65, with first class being £139
Unless I'm given solid gold info on this I will stick to my coach ride :|

Keep checking on the Virgin site, I think they update it each hour so cheap tickets for the tuesday might be up at some point today.
