i'm very excited about the sherlock holmes movie, that's my favorite fictional character.

*edit* alan rickman was awesome as the sheriff in that robin hood though. then again he's just awesome anyway!

i haven't seen the BBC show but i want to though. i do think someone younger than russell would have worked. but i'm a big fan of his so i'm excited anyway

i just saw this the other day. robert downey jnr is such a fine actor. his eyes just sparkle.

as for robin hood........ i cant wait. russell crowe and cate blanchett. it really doesnt get much better than that.

and yes alan rickman is awesome always. recently watched die hard and when she saw hans gruber, 10 year old potter obsessed zoe says.. hey thats snape. yes zoe indeed it is.

Oh man! Russel Crowe as Robin Hood, that's something I'd never imagine to happen. IMO no one will ever best the performance of Kevin Costner or Morgan Freeman or Alan Rickman, don't get me wrong Crowe is a great actor but I still think the one with Costner is the number ONE.

im a fan of costner...always have been and he def has his moments but crowe will give the role more gravitas.

costners role as robin hood as laughable...it sucked...but an american film with american actor based on a british story say no more

there are some american actors who could have handled the accent, costner was just ridiculous overall lol alan rickman was the saving grace of that movie.

after viewing both transformers movies sam age 12 reckons michael bay is the best moviemaker in the world. bwahahahaha. its all the explosions that do it.

but its robert downey jnr...

admittedly ive not read doyles books.. all i saw was rdj was in it and that guy ritchie directed and that was enough for me. plus its got rachel mcadams in it and who doesnt love her in red eye and mean girls.

plus i got to see previews of robin hood.

oh i'm a huge holmes fan, read all the stories, major geek for it actually :oops: i was open to a reinterpretation but guy ritchie took it too far for my taste. i'm old school i guess
