Anyone know how much the official boot collection is valued at

I'm talking about the 2000 tour and the 2003 tour

or what would you pay for it.

  • On eBay most of them are selling for $29.95
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.

I've seen the 2000 complete set go for about $4,000. I would guess the 2003 would be close behind cause there are almost the same # of shows. I personally wouldn't pay that but to each his own.

    gotta disagree with you there.

the 2000 complete set goes for nowhere near 4,000$. they were all available in stores at one point, much more readily available. ive seen it regularly go for between 1100 and 1600.

as for the 2003 set, it was fan club only and there are only as many sets as the least ordered bootleg, so it is much, much rarer...some have sold for as high as 3,000 on ebay. but usually 2100-2400.

i wonder if the download accessibility has brought down the price....

I just meant i saw someone on ebay selling for that. I agree, way too much. but considering they are out of print and only available second hand, some are more expensive than others. If you say that the lowest price for the whole set is $1100, then you're talkin $15 per boot. I'll bet you can't find half of those for that price. Most are about $30-40 on ebay sealed or slightly less if they aare opened.

  • glad i found this thread. I was just wondering the same thing. I have both the 2000 and 2003 sets that I've been thinking about parting with now that times are getting bit tougher. Atleast now i've got a bit of an idea of what they are going for...but I still don't know if i can part with them... lol

just to confirm what many have said 2000 sets have goe for as little as 800 bucks and as much as 1200 in the last 2 years, the 2003 are way harder to get and pull usually 2500. Mexico three shows are insanely hard to get and especially with the stickers on the spines.

Is this what the depression is doing to you Americans?...
  • Cool, glad to know how much my sets are worth.

I bought 3 sets of the 2000 and 4 sets of the 2003 from The Ten Club way back in the days before kids and a house payment.

I bought the shows that I went to locally separately and I also got to download the raw concerts directly from The Ten Club when I bought the 2003 shows.

Currently all of the cds are in the unopened state and I thought about selling some when I was laid off for 7 months but I sold stuff that I could easily replace like duplicate tools and car parts.
  • I few posts above I noticed someone mention the mexico boots with stickers on the spine. I have a vancouver 03 with stickers on the spine, is it rare, and does have any significant value. I found it in a used record store for $7.
    Shows Attended:
    10/05/00 Toronto, 09/13/05 Hamilton, 09/19/05 Toronto,
    05/09/06 Toronto, 05/10/06 Toronto, 08/12/08 Toronto EV,
    08/13/08 Toronto EV, 08/21/09 Toronto, 05/10/10 Buffalo

If you're only listening to "the most recent tour" then you probably don't collect boots in the first place and you wouldn't miss these so much. I can tell you that as a bit of an audiophile, there's nothing better then throwing in a great PJ boot from 92 (just picking a random year) and just turning it up...

I have a very nice quality PJ boot from Washington 1995 that pretty much tops the list of boots I listen to...yeah you don't get to hear the new stuff but there are a lot of great tunes they played back then that they don't play now...and maybe I'm alone in this statement but the energy Ed sang with back then is something that can give you goosebumps if you're wearing a great set of headphones...

EDIT: I have an extra Toronto 03 if anyone wants to trade for something I dont have...PM me...
