UK Poster Framing
Anyone know of somewhere to get posters framed that's good value? Wherever I've had mine done, so far, they're always sooo expensive!!

Dave had Dusseldorf done with a custom frame first and it was about £40. Lisbon was put into an already complete frame with new mount and was £25. We have a few more waiting to be done but we won't pay over £40 for each.
We also had our REM poster and a Japanese screen print done when we had Lisbon framed and it was only £95 for all three (£40 for Japanese and £30 for REM). The shop is quite bargainous and the girl who runs it is lovely, if she can get the price down by using a complete frame then she will.
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
From my local framer in Workington
I,m pleased with them.sorry about the shitty pic
I get mine done locally at a shop down the road in Putney (the lady actually remembers my name from one tour to the next! she never had people framing posters like that before ).
simple black wood frame averages around 30-40 depending on the size.
Most I paid was £100 but that was for the Dusseldorf with my Rats sign, with matting. It's really big.

Thanks for the info guys! They look really good and are so cheap! Think I paid around £70 each for the 4 I've had frmaed and 3 of them didn't have mats!
I'll have to keep looking round here for a good local framer, but don't think there's any about .
BY the way, love the Clutch poster Dave!

This poster framing crack is a dear do tho isnt it,i have about a dozen i want framed and last year i realised that i was never gonna get them all done so my boys have about a dozen each stuck up withpins
I want the hawaii/u2 done next but the poster is massive so its gotta be saved up for
Strummers good luck finding a framer and when you do lets have some pics
depending on where you are of course I would heavily recommend the guy I use, hes a charity worked for great dane dogs and shelters them etc so his profits go back into that - his hobby if you like, He's done my presentation frames with memorabilia, and his attention to detail is great - certainly against what he charges. There is a shop not to far away that is 4 times more expensive, so it defo pays to shop around.
Check out my framed efforts and see what you think

only starts giving you an idea of my grin for the next 24 hours ...hell, I still do when I type this
might have been £110-120, can't remember exactly, I had Camden (with a simple but metal frame) and Gorge 05 (with matting too though smaller frame) done at the same time, and that was £230 total.
I've got the receipt at home, I can check.
It doesn't look that fancy or big and £100 just seems steep.
But what to i know about framing lol.
