Don't get too excited people, just gotta hope you get drawn.
Good idea for the solo shows, just hope it isn't that way for the PJ shows.

same here!
I couldn't actually get it to "hold" a rollover date- How'd you do it?
or is this just a 10C thing???
I like the one pair per one show policy. You can get tickets to other shows via TicketMonster... but, my friends with higher numbers who live in Honolulu, Maui and albany should get the best seats in the house... no matter what. based upon they live in those places.
Same goes for the people who live in Philly, Atlanta, Baltimore, etc... I would much rather have them in the best seats than people with lower seniority numbers coming in from places outside those hometowns getting all of the same good seats.
Call it ' Sharing The Wealth' or whatever... i feel it is best for the locals to get the best seats because it may be the only ones they'll get.
...
I hope this carries over to the full Band Tour, too.
Hail, Hail!!!
+1
I thought the world...Turns out the world thought me
Shows denoted by a single * are rollover shows. If you win the first date and a second opens up, you will get tickets for the second show if you want them.

basically what this is is a lottery. you're putting in a request for the shows you want & hoping the request gets filled
is it ideal? no, but with Ticketmaster in place, bands like PJ are lucky to do a set up like this for their concerts
exactly. you can put in a request anytime between now & the 10th and you'll have the same chance to score tickets
2.) There may be an email coming to all members. These shows will be posted for the next couple days according to the website.
3.) I like this policy because, even though I just happened to be on the site when the posted the tickets to the goods section, I was not rewarded for just happening to be here. Instead everyone gets a chance. In the past, when it was either randomly posted, or you had to be on right at 10AM or something, and hopefully you would get them, it put a lot of people (like those who have jobs where they can't sit at a computer all day) at a real disadvantage. This way we all get a shot.
I have yet to decide though if I will go. I would love to get the chance to see Ed play a solo show... but is it worth the $162 tickets, driving 6 hours to Nashville, paying for a hotel, etc? I will think about it for a day or so I guess.

That's what I feel. TicketMonster will scalp the best seats via their 'TicketsNow' scalping site.
Hail, Hail!!!
i go through a similar process w/ Phish so this is nothing new to me, but the fact that PJ only opens this up to the 10Club makes it a much better situation, IMO
This process makes sense for the solo shows, it forces people to only try and buy tickets for their hometown, making the odds of getting tickets for hometowners much greater.
The thing I wish they did was add the ability to say "I can do night 1 or night 2" As an example i live in baltimore and don't care if i get night 1 or night 2 as long as I get tickets. So that would have been a nice feature.
So lets everyone be happy he is even doing a small tour. We'll be getting the full on PJ tour soon enough.
I'm with you guys, this process is used by many bands for tickets. I think the Tenclub members just aren't used to it but if they've been members of other band's fanclubs then they'd see this process is pretty common. Hey, at least the site isn't crashing.
That's how I feel. If they are playing in YOUR hometown... YOU should have a better seat than me, flying in from California with a lower number. i can stiil choose to fly in, but, i should not be granted a better seat in your hometown. I can get a better seat in MY hometown.

It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
I'm with ya on this . . . everyone gets the same opportunity to get tickets, there's no crashing the site, and everyone's stress levels are returned to normal. It's kinda nice that we can only get tickets for one show because that opens up the door for way more of us to get to go. I was lucky enough to get tickets to Vancouver night 2 in 2008 through TM . . . but that was the most frustrating situation I have ever been through and I would much rather try to get tickets this way
yeah ... as a guy with a fairly low number 106xxx - i'm all for the lottery on seats ... although i'm used to being in the front 6 rows - i'm just happy to have a decent seat anywhere!
I hope you get them... and i hope you are in the front row.
Hail, Hail!!!
