"single pairs and single pairs only"
Anyone thinking from now on we're only going to be able to buy a pair of tickets for a single show of the tour and then fend for ourselves on ticketbastard?
Adolescence in essence is all about trust.
Leaving is for the answering machine.

Eh Idunno that seems kinda cruel but they could be doing it so less people get shut out of 10c tix which would be nice.

no.. it probably just means we can't buy singles.... not that we ever could

Can't wait for the tour news!! I hope everyone is right about it just being an annoucement of cities and dates and not the day actual tickets go on sale. I'll be at work tomorrow and my stupid work computer will not let me access the goods section for some reason...I can get to this message board but the goods section is blocked. I'll need to call out sick if in fact tickets are going on sale or come down with something tomorrow at work *cough*.
Does everyone think that tickets will not go on sale until some time next week?? :?

I'm pretty sure this is the case, but I'd bet it's just for Ed shows. Much higher demand since it's for much smaller venues.
There's no way they'd revert back to that system for the band tour, because some areas just wouldn't sell as much as they do when people from all over can travel to them (I mean certain parts of the Midwest and the South).

yeah, probably

They may just be doing that for the Vedder shows because the venues and the tickets alotted to the Ten Club are much smaller.

nope.
i think this is purely for ed solo. i think no limits, and hopefully the lottery from last pj tour, will remain in effect for the major, full-band tours. i think it's the smaller, solo tours this may happen more frequently...spread the love around to more members.
Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...

Wow great thinking as logical as it may be, I never thought of it

Another Ed tour? Really? People are really excited for this? How about finishing the album so we can get a proper PJ tour. I saw Ed both nights in Vancouver. Ed is great but once you've seen him... well you've seen him. Frankly Im more excited for the FTM show than another Ed tour. Finish the album!

Ya but what about the people who haven't seen him, like me
As THIS happened on the exact day of the First Berkeley show and the ACTUAL announcement is on the exact day of very nearly the BEST show on either EV tours (Jerry Hannan, McCready, Sean Penn Roast...) .... well, I don't wanna get my hopes up but -- looks like I'm touring the WEST COAST in June!
I just want to hear some type of "official" news about the new album. Maybe eve a tracklisting. I dont understand why we havent heard anything yet. Mike made it clear 2 weeks ago that they have 14 FULLY COMPLETED tracks.....THATS AN ALBUM!
Maybe they are releasing a double album this time?
Who knows....all i do know is any "official" news is better than none....
ack! tomorrow?! don't 10c know it's tax season? where's the love for fans who work in accounting firms? :P hahahaha. man, i will do my best to be here and pay attention...hope i don't miss out! *fingers crossed*
If it wasn't for this message board I would be losing my mind right now. Still at work. This sucks. This board is "love" for us accountants. Helps me make it through the boredom.

So, the consensus here is a EV solo tour? I personally am hoping for a band tour, myself... But I would definitely love to see Eddie, since I missed out on the secret shows in Seattle last year.
Also, just bought my ACL 3-Day passes today. So psyched.

I 100% guarantee its an announcement about an EV solo tour. My only question is what do the 'single pair' comments mean...
I'm curious as to why everyone is thinking more Ed Solo? Isn't the band finishing up a new album? Maybe a few special shows are coming up but the timing seems strange for an extended tour. Maybe I'm missing something here.... :?:
Are some of you leaning that way because of the Lynch/Seeger stuff Ed's doing?
I understand the interest though...loved him in Milwaukee even w/ the few "bad apples" in the audience. Fantastic show.
