FAKE SIGNED GUITAR

So, as many of you might have seen last week I found out I had a very fake signed guitar. It was bought for me as a gift and not being an autograph collector I had no clue. I want to thank 100 Pacer, pdalowsy, and Wilds for pointing out that it was a complete fake! (This was later confirmed by two sources at 10C) If you guys hadn't have seen it and said something I would still be sitting on a very expensive piece of junk signed by some meth head tweakin in a basement. The guitar wasn't even good enough to play.
After several very heated arguments with the owner of STARMARKS.NET my money was finally refunded in full. Once I told him I was going to call everyone and their brother until I got my money back, he caved. He said my bullshit wasn't worth the trouble. Hmmmmm I wonder why that is??? He still insists all of his shit is completely legit.
Whatever you do, don't ever buy anything from STARMARKS.NET. :evil:

    I am happy to hear you got a full refund. I wish there was a way to put this website out of business. I wonder if the band could pursue something against this guy for forging their signatures? Forgery is a crime...

    I spent a good amount of time on the phone with 10C this morning looking at the STARMARKS website with them. They are reporting the company to the PJ legal department so hopefully they will be forced to stop selling that bullshit.

    Not only are they fake as hell but the day they got that thing back they put it up on the site to sell again. That white guitar you see on there.......it's been on vacation for awhile.

    any person doing business be it a sale or a return of a sale would never use profanity. why? cause it's professional. that guy saying that the OP's "bullshit" was a waste of his time just REEKS of scum.

    godaddy.com is hosting his site....you might want to let them know one of their clients is committing fraud

    also contact the better business bureau....i'm sure pj legal will do the same but sometimes coming from the consumer helps

    They're one of many resellers of crap autographs. Some of them even send "certificates of authenticity" (apparently their photoshop skills don't include signatures, but do include fake seals)

    Look everyone..virtually every autographed guitar is bullshit...I usually **** out my cuss words but this is just too much for me...and it should be for you.....ever notice that EVERY guitar is signed JUST ON THE PICKGUARD and it's on a fucking worthless piece of crap guitar???!!!! Come on everyone...wise up....I saw a SRV autograph on a fucking Epiphone Les Paul (Pickguard) in Vegas for $5000..They didn't even make that fucking guitar when he was alive.....Besides, an ACTUAL autograph is only worth as much as it is worth to its OWNER...I was one of the VERY LUCKY BASTARDS to get an autographed SDE and it's MINE...it's valuable to me because I love it, not because it's in a fucking shop that's trying to fuck some poor sucker out of a TON of money... :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

    It's sad but I bet most of the stuff out there isn't real. Where did you see the SRV guitar? The unfortunate thing is that when I thought the guitar was real it did mean the world to me. After I found out, I wanted to splinter the f*cker. Congrats on the SDE that is bad assed!!!!!

    To be perfectly honest, it was a couple of years ago in a shop in the Aladdin which is now Planet Hollywood on the Vegas Strip.the jerk manager at the store also had a 'rare, limited to 500 copies GOLD box set of NIRVANA rarities for $1000) my wife was encouraging me to buy the box set, but I told her right in front of the guy that it was a load of shit and the guy's shop was a fucking joke...I also pointed out to him that Stevie Ray wasn't even alive when he supposedly autographed the Epiphone....Cunty bastards..bottom line, just don't trust these bullshit shops.and if you're buying on Ebay, read the feedback, look at how long they've been on Ebay, see if they've changed usernames, etcetera........

    No worries on the mouth I have one on me as well. ;) That is so funny that you said that shop. We were in there last year loking at a PJ "signed" accoustic which is where he got the idea to buy one. So tell me this since I am such a naive dumb ass.....how do they get away with it? How can you open up a shop in a huge casino on the Vegas strip if all your shit is fake? Why is it allowed? Is there some disclaimer that says even though you think you are buying an authentic item with a "COA" you might not be?????

    Well I am glad u got it figured out liek I said earlier to u I have been doing this for a long time and it is obvious that he knew it was fake other wise he wouldnt of gave in so easy the said part about it is that he will take that guiter wait a month or so and then resale it. I have a guitar I am working on now it has 3 members on it. If u ever need any advice on something like that I am not a total expert but I do have alot of knowledge. By they way do u have any thing signed by the band at all.
