I'd love to see his Timbaland stuff go down at DOWNLOAD!
I honestly think that would create the biggest bottle fight/bottles of piss being thrown at the stage on record!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Ok, these setlists fucking rock on their own but im being mega fussy now and he pretty much plays the exact same songs :(
You're missing out big time.
His sets are ABSOLUTELY not the same. I just came off a week of seeing him 4 x's and it was definitely not the same show rehashed. I feel about his shows same way i felt when i 1st roadtripped to see pj in '96 which i have to say was missing for me on this last pj tour
First, my take on "Scream". I'm hard-pressed to call him a sellout because a) I don't think he's gonna sell any more of this than he did his other solo albums and b) Experimenting with different music styles is not, in and of itself, selling out. I bought the album. It starts out with a horrible intro to a horrible song. Timbaland is not my style, but there are a few diamonds in the rough in there. The singing on "Never Far Away" is great. It's not really matched to my taste, but if he's doing what he wants to do, who am I to say he needs to make something I'll like? People need to get over it. If they want to boycott it all, so be it. CC will live. I do hope he gets back to something more up his historic alley.
The Scream songs live are MUCH better live. It's a rock band playing it and it's just better.
As for the show, it was 2:15 of an outstanding mix of songs. Seven from Scream, then solo, Audioslave, Soundgarden, two Temple of the dog. Anyone skipping these 2 to 2.5 hour shows because of scream is missing out. Great mix of songs, solid band, great energy, great stage presence. There were a couple times I thought his voice was off, but sometimes it was the cadence (which I am sure was intentional).
If you are on the fence because you don't like Scream, go. The other stuff is worth it. Go to his website and check out the boards for the setlists. You'll never get Kim and Chris together to hear "Black Hole Sun". This is the best you are going to do.
Edit: big highlight tonight. I had not noticed this on previous setlists (but maybe I just missed it and I am now to lazy to look), but I was stunned to hear "Seasons".

What time is he coming out typically? Hour after the opener? I have tickets for Friday night in Denver and we don't want to show up too late. Thanks for any help!

The opening band was really good. Outernational. Go see Outernational. They are going to be at Bonnaroo and on some Warped Tour dates. I'll be in the front for them at Roo rocking out.

find out what the curfew is and subtract 2 and a half hours. where i say him he came on around 9:35 and played ntill exactly midnight. the crowd was getting a little restless because the opener finished over an hour before that. so don't rush. its a long awesome show. if there is no curfew id guess 9:30 he comes on.

Thanks for the help. The concert doesn't start until 9pm Friday night so I'm assuming it's a pretty late curfew...at least I hope so. Looking forward to it.
