No -- its been a few years. I remembered it being his sister in law for some reason. It wasn't his sister was it?
It was his wife's step brothers woman/girlfriend.

if he was a ranger all this time, marty would have pretty average career #'s. there is no agruing that. the devils are the sole reason for brodeur's accomplishments, not brodeur himself.
out of the 3 cups that brodeur won, he did was not awarded the conn smythe once. that goes to show he was NOT the most important player on the devils during those championship years. while roy is a douche bag, he has what, 3 conn smythes?
f-brodeur. he disgraces the position by flopping around like a fish when breathed on, and sticking players in the balls when their backs are turned. in his post game interviews, he NEVER takes responsibility. he is always pointing the finger and making excuses. just admit that you got BEAT and move on.
he is a clown and i love how avery has him in the palm of his hand.
Are you one of these guys that says Gretzky isn't the greatest ever cause of his supporting cast?...he would have sucked without Kurri?.....I mean, how many Conn Smythe's did Gretz win? Only 2 in four championship years?
Does that really belittle his status as a 'great', or just mean that someone else contributed more that year?
Great players make those around them better...Brodeur played on a good, defensive team for most of his career, but your statement goes both ways - the Devils wouldn't have been nearly as good without him... his numbers alone mean he deserves to be regarded with the greats.
Are you guys going to start talking up Richter now or something?
edit: oops, he's already been mentioned....just getting up to speed here
