It feels like a chore following this band anymore...........
Getting news is like pulling teeth, the typical complaints about 10c, etc. it really is taking the fun out of it, unlike some other bands coughWilcocough. slam me, i don't give a shit.

if it's such a hardship for you to be a fan, then get out of here and stop jamming up our server.
bye.
ones that make me feel good when things behind the smile ain't ok...." -Hoon
Although I am not a member of any other fanclubs, I would imagine that this is not how it happens elsewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong.
How hard would it be to give us a time to check the board for info?

CHILLIN LIKE BOB DYLAN!!!
look at STP's fan club - offering chances for overpriced VIP packages and presale tickets... for $45 a year???
look, they want to build hype with this news, make sure 10C members have a chance to ready their memberships, and give us hope.
if you were like me and spent 3 work days trying for lollapalooza cheapo tickets this year, you definitely would feel justified in spending the extra time to get some great perks of being on an e-mail list. you can check back later, but if something truly awesome comes our way, don't complain for not knowing about it.

I can't ever recall a time that Wilco's management, website, or information sources teased the fans with little hints and possibilities of info release. These games are so childish.
Just give us the info and stop the cycle of tweets.

She most likely didn't/doesn't know when the news will come.
You do not have to sit here and refresh the board...check it each night. You won't miss out on anything.
I understand the frustration you feel. 10 club is going to do whatever they want whenever they see fit in whatever method best suits them.
My remedy is to remember I only have control over myself and my own actions. If I get feeling too frustrated or anxious, or I begin to feel that whatever is happening here is diminishing my enjoyment of the music - I walk away for a while. Music should breed enjoyment. And if this scene isn't happening for you right now - that's ok.
No need to bash you or question your devotion or loyalty to the band. Sometimes you just have to readjust your perspective. Please, don't let anything take away the ability of Pearl Jam's music to touch your soul and evoke the emotions that made you a fan of the band in the first place.
Peace
I think the tweets make it more fun! I like reading other people's predictions of what the news is going to be. And when I get tired of waiting, I get off the board and check back later.
In the end, it's worth the work we put into it. I just happen to think this new medium (internet) has not been fully exploited by Pearl Jam to get their news delivered to their fans in the best manner possible.

Jeez.... it's just going to be an announcement of some kind. You don't have to be on the board the minute it comes up. It'll still be there next time you check. Not like a ticket sale or anything.
People are getting too uptight about this. First they moan because there is no news. Then they moan when they are told there will be some news soon (mid-week - maybe today, maybe tomorrow), then they don't have that news when THEY expect it (first thing in the morning). Lighten up.
I am not sure I would call something posted as a sticky on the offical fan club message board, by a fan club employee "off the record".

...
And seriously... we need to lighten up. After all... when it all comes down to it... it is simply a band. It's not life or death.
Hail, Hail!!!
I've got an idea. Put a band together, go sell 70 million records world wide, start a fansite, and run it the way you see fit! Problem solved.

yeah I agree, but if they jsut announced iut without warning, then people would bitch that there was no notice
as far as wilco goes, they just need to accept that fact that they need to play larger venues, tough to get a ticket for the last leg (but the venues were awesome)
It certainly wasn't worded as an official announcement of any kind. It also wasn't posted on pearljam.com
uh, oh, another delay.......better jump completely off the bandwagon now!
What exactly are the medium-sized venues between theatres/concert halls/performing arts centers and basketball arenas/amphitheatres?
I would think it's tough for Wilco to graduate to the next size of venues without facing a few thousand empty seats every night.
