Excuse me if it's had been already post. One simple question for the tenclub.
Why, us, the fans did we have to paid the same price for something that anyone can find in stores ?
I am not talking about ups prob, but just about the Price of the deluxe edition. Is it for the chance to have signatures in it ? well we all know that's the signed one are already for special persons. I don't know if you gonna answer to this, I know that's the realization work done is pretty cool, but I don't like the idea, that I am paying 25 $ by year for having the right to pay the same price that anyone else, maybe next year i'll give this money in a good cause and will made my shopping in regular shop who have the same prices than you.

Hope it's gonna change, but sometimes I do not understand you policy and I don't want to be rude, english is not my mother tongue, but that you're already knew :D

Actually big retailers are cheaper because of that same reason, they are big retailers... but tell me again why is it that we "deserve" a discount? I dont remember that being mentioned as part of the perks on my membership

I don't think we deserve a discount, but it is a bit disheartening to see it at big-box retail stores at lower prices than 10C's. Especially if they're planning on reissuing all the other albums with packages of this magnitude, as the spines seem to suggest, I don't know I can justify paying the "10C premium" for the rest of the albums - I think that would add up quite a bit - and for what, really? If 10C could maybe throw in something extra in the Ten Club-sold packages, I'd be totally fine with paying a bit of a premium then.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't that been one of the perks of being a Ten Club Member for quite some time that by being a member you get a bit of a discount on ordering merch from the band?

I'm glad I didn't order the super deluxe edition of Ten through Ten Club, as I'll be able to get it considerably cheaper from Best Buy.

I believe that they cannot undercut retailers... but I would be VERY fine if they would include an "extra" when you buy direct, like a free boot of your choice.

I give money to humanitary mission, I don't attempt some commercials efforts for sure. But in a fan club, did my extra money go to a social plan or something ? I guess no ! D you think people who are fans of football, or whatever and payed a annual cotisation member will be happy if anyone can go and watching the game at the same price ? maybe you pearl jam's love blind you a little, I call that a great rock n roll swindle We got nothing more than the other buyers, what the point really: If people are smart they stop buying at the tenclub, except for the special event, or tickets, so once again I do not understand this think

The Big Box Stores' low prices are responsible for Tower Records, Virgin Records and countless local indie record stores going out of business.

Sometimes it pays to spend a few extra dollars to "keep the scene alive!"

    18.

You are the one questioning the price of something that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY. If You can find it somewhere else, then ALL power to you. But it's not really worth it to argue.. what ever it's $140.. but it's not going to change.

do you have an answer to my question ? you just like someone at who's I am asking " you have the hour" and your answer is "you don't have to know why it's 6 o clock"

so to save money for pearl jam's concert dont' buy in 10club, ironic until the end no ?

Please tell me how many concert tickets $15 buys you because I want to know...
The 10C set is only $15 more than big retailers....

And the why is simple though, the 10C is not a big retailer, retailers can usually sell this type of thing at a loss... which is why record store are now history

I do not run PJ's marketing department. I can't tell you why it is more here. BUT it's sort of like going to a concert.. buying a beer for $8 when you can go to a deli and buy more for less.

well maybe i was naive but i actually thought that i'm ordering an edition that won't be available at the retailers. i bought mine for $190 (international shipping to Europe) plus $60 (extra custom charges plus extra UPS charges). And today my friend bought it at a retailer in Warsaw, Poland for... $95. so i think i have the right to be pissed off, i can't look at it any other way than as a rip-off :(

    WOW. yikes!

I don't think it was implied that it was exclusive, but yeah... I would not be happy if I paid $250 and your local store is selling it for $95. That is just completely fucked up. Totally fucked up.

I think no one from Europe will ever trust Ten Club again for music they can purchase locally.

Really, they should send all these European people like 2 rare posters or something.

I had assumed it was an edition that was only available through the Ten Club as well. I was surprised to see that it's being offered by the big chain stores.

Nobody EVER said it was exclusive to Ten Club.

10c had nothing to do with UPS price gauging. My question is when did the fans of this band get so cheap? please dont say the economy.
