View Profile & Member List Issue

The techs are aware of the issue of not being able to view User Profiles and the Member List.


Other ways to send a PM or Email:

- Use the Private Message and Email Icons located below a user's Avatar.

-You can also send a Private Message from your Inbox by selecting a new private message form (compose message), and typing in the user name.

PMs doesn't seem to work properly.
I don't know which of the method you described he used, but someone said he PMd me here and I didn't get anything (he also did on RM which is how I know as I got that one.).

EDIT: I just sent one to D for a test, looked like it sent fine but it's neither in my outbox nor the sent one now

It's funny, because I never even knew this was a feature... I'm new to the boards, and thought how silly it was that we all had profiles, but cannot view them ... and then the whole blog thing was mentioned ... so yeah, I still cannot see profiles or blogs ... can't wait til they fix this ... it'll be a whole new PJ world for me

i miss being able to change my sig.

i miss a LOT of niceities from the old board:
mouse-over preview
being able to see exactly who, and how many times, someone - including yourself - posted in a thread
i miss the little check mark next to threads you subscribed to
being able to locate threads people started by viewing their profile
i really, really, really miss an innocuous, boring background for those of us at work!

just to name a few...;)

don't worry you're not the only one..I thought that too as well..
i never subscribed to threads so I read it as 'replied' and thought "but there's a star!" :roll:

I miss lots of those things too...so I hardly even come anymore..

aha, i see....and no, two different things. the asterisk now simply shows you replied to a thread. the checkmark i am referring to on the old board was for threads you bookmark (tho there also was something that showed if you replied to a thread too).....so you could easily see your bookmarks right on the board if the thread was still on the first couple pages.


and yes, i do bookmark many threads. threads that have been around forever but do manage to get buried pages back that i occasionally like to revive, and most especially during tourtime, i like to bookmark threads about shows, pre-parties, cities i am planning to attend and all for info, etc. it's great to be able to still do that even here.....just go to your user profile to access. definitely good since we can no longer look up thread titles by users.

i edited my profile yesterday? it should be working. you get to it by the main site not the chat board. list the URL as your website and it will give you a 3w button.

but yup, i see you still can't edit your siggy.

on your friends list is there anyway you can get to their profile from there?
it'd be nice if the people of my friends list were clickable.
