A few years ago i caught Brad in Melbourne Austraila. They were great and the crowd were having a ball except for a few idiots loudly requesting PJ tracks. After the show me and a few friends waited out side and Stone came out for a chat. I was awe stuck and stood there like a Zombie. But the rest of my friends were having a few words. He was great.

I met Eddie in Columbia 2008 backstage just before he went on with KOL. Completely accidental... I was looking for my mother and my girlfriend and somehow ended up backstage. Once I knew I wasnt where I was supposed to be I decided to make my way back to the general population, and I ran into Eddie with and a security gaurd. As I was walking by, I gave Ed a high five and said, "Bonnaroo was incredible. The emotion and energy was unbelievable. Happy fathers day." He looked confused, but was laughing, and said "thanks man, have fun tonight." I immediatley ran back to my seat and told my buddy that Ed was about to take the stage and sure enough, within seconds, there he was. Good times...

Accidently ended up backstage? Wow i wish I could make that mistake sometime.
Thas a cool story thanks for sharing
i met stone on October 4, 2008 during the tree planting. we all stopped for lunch and the guy from timberland was thanking some people. I was sitting on a bench eating my sandwich when all of a sudden my ear perks up to him giving thanks to stone. he says "and i'd like to thank stone gossard, where are you? stand up!" i'm just like, in awe. my jaw drops to the floor. im thinking "wait a minute, STONE GOSSARD IS HERE?!" and when he tells him to stand up, there, not 20 feet away from me, is stone gossard, standing up, waving to everyone. i couldn't believe it. one of my idols, the man who created some of my favorite songs, one of my best friends in the world is standing in the same vicinity as me. i see him sit down and i finish up my food, completely freaking out. i call my best friend who's been a pearl jam fan almost as long as me, and tell her all about it. she was going to the show later that night but couldn't make it to the tree planting because she had a lot of homework. i tell her about how stone is standing there and she freaks out with me. i hang up the phone, call my mom and tell her about him too, and pluck up the courage to go say hi. i walk toward him but chicken out for a good 10 minutes, walking back and forth. i see a few girls go up to him with a riot act cd and i follow them. they say "we just grabbed this from the car it was the first cd we grab" and he signs it, and i'm like "oh, that's my favorite album!" they leave and he looks at me with a big smile and says "really?" i felt bad because he probably hears that it's a shitty album from so many people and it seemed to me that he was pleasantly surprised that someone out there likes it. i tell him "yeah its my favorite. thanks for all or none by the way, and in hiding". i get him to sign two of my tickets to the show later that night and give one to my best friend. i'm so glad that he got to hear someone say they loved riot act and im glad i got to make him smile. i was upset that i didn't bring a camera, i was debating it but decided on not bringing it. but you know what, seeing that smile was worth more than a thousand pictures with him. that was probably one of the best days of my life.
goodness that was long, sorry! but i couldn't help it, it was just such a fantastic day

I met Ed in DC on his solo tour. There were a small group of people waiting out back of the venue for Ed to arrive. I decided to join them. Shortly later he pulled up and came over to shake some hands. He was very nice and had a few words for everyone.

in 2003 i saw BRAD in margaret river, WA during their australian tour. maybe 40 people at the show?? i met all the guys in BRAD including stone. i'll have to post a pic later. they were all really nice, esp. jeremy and shawn! i must have talked to jeremy for at least 15 min. suprisingly there weren't a ton of people lined up to talk to stone. i was the first person he talked with when he came out. he was quite suprised to see an american at the show and asked if my wife and i knew any good surfing spots. wifey shared a few ideas since she's from that area. it was a very cool experience. :P

I heard going to a Brad show is the easiest way to meet Stone. I saw Brad back in '97 with a group of my friends. I wanted to stay after to meet Stone and the rest of thre band, but we were all 20-21 back then and everyone else wanted to just get drunk after the show. Oh well, next time

i met jeff for like 3 seconds at the borgota in 2005. some asshole fan was hassling him for an autograph or something stupid like that (you guys know who you are.....seriously not cool). anyway...i figure i may never get a chance to say thanks to anyone in this band in my life...so i make my way over, jeff looks a little annoyed at the asshole bothering him.....and i just asked him if i could shake his hand and i told him thank you.
not epic at all, but it was nice to say thank you.
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status

My husband and I met Mike at the West Palm Beach show on 2003.
We were walking around before the show and stopped for a second to listen to band playing on a side stage and long behold right next to us was Mr. Mike McCready and his wife (i think), we didn't have a camera or a pen DOH! But he was so so nice... we chatted for a few minutes and then some guy came and told them they had to go.
The show was awesome, one of my favorites but meeting Mike made my day!

That's awesome! I guess from then on you always carried a pen and a camera??
Met Mike outside a Wellwater C. gig a few years ago.
Met Stone outside a Brad gig at the Viper Room... then, at the Tower Records.
Met Eddie outside the 'All Tomorrow's Parties'... he was nice and signed stuff for everyone.
Met Matt outside the free Fonda gig... he was there with his girls and their friends.
Met Boom after the Kokua in the Hotel Lobby on Waikiki.
...
I talked to Mike a couple of times after that first meeting. At a Brad gig... in San Diego, very briefly... and at the VH1 thing. He was really nice to my friend, Marcia and took a picture with her. Always been a nice exchange, with Mike.
I've met Stone the most times... I guess it's because Brad used to play a few gigs here in L.A. Saw him at the VH1 thing... and was the laziest Pearl Jam fan of all time. Instead of running up to him... we made him come over to us. He was really cool and took pictures and signed stuff. I also had lunch with him at the Timberland Dig-It thing in L.A. I purposely steered clear of Pearl Jam talk because it was more important to talk about the trees and the people. So, we talked about people having to live in poverty and public housing, trees, tamales and surfing. I saw him after his show that night and talked a bit... mostly about how our backs were going to be killing us the next day.
I met Eddie a couple of times after the A.T.P. After the Tsunami Benefit... in the line of fans, I told him I just wanted to shake his hand and say, 'Hey...', which he appreciated and gave me a guitar pick. He like my 'Eddie Would Go' shirt because of the colors... he said he already had one... so, I gave him that shirt. I also met him after the Hulubaloo gig and got him to sign a tamborine I got in San Francisco. And the last time was at that VH1 Thing... where, I already had a couple of autographs so i just wanted to say hello.. and he gave me... and a few people... one of those white guitar picks. I also got to see him run into Pete, which, you could tell, made him happy.
Met Matt again after the Natasha Benefit with the 'Queens Of The Stone Age'. I told him I was happy to see him... but, sad because of the reason we were there.
And I finally met Jeff at that VH1 thing. I told him I was looking forward to seeing them the following night and he looked at me kinda strange and said, "For only 2 songs?". And I said, "For 2 song where my favorite band is playing songs of my favorite band in honor of them... Yup.". He laughed and said, "I hope we won't let you down." I don't think so, Bud.
...
Also met Jack Irons after the Hulubaloo and talked about his gig with Brody.

Met Mike at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. He was with a guy from Rolling Stone for the cover story. It was cool. He was very gracious, shook our hands, and told us to have a good time at the show.
