I've been after that record for years, every time I see come up on Ebay I never seem to have the money to spare to bid on it, maybe one day.. but I understand your frustration, that's the only record I'm missing.
Good thing about eBay is that there will always be another one...I also want the Soldier Field, so we'll all have to fight for it, hahaha.
Same here about the Solider Field Vinyl! :(
i own the solder field vinyl. i'm told the sound quality is soundboard,...

It is soundboard, but the show isn't complete. It's a double gatefold 12" on marble-streaked vinyl. The sleeve opens out to show a black and white photo of a setlist.
I remember when I first got it being disappointed it didn't have the complete show, but I bought it anyway, because I used to buy bootleg vinyl and silver CD's back then (I had to-there was no other way to access unreleased live recordings.)
That is the exact reason I have no desire to own it. I can't justify paying $200+ dollars for a vinyl that isn't a complete show. I have the complete show on my Ipod. It's great and I wouldn't want to listen to a chopped up show IMO.

Rip that shit!!!
No offense taken. I am a PJ collector as well. I have all the vinyl records except the Soldier Field vinyl. I listen and enjoy my vinyl while keeping it in as mint condition as possible. I don't begrudge anyone for keeping their vinyl sealed. But for me, especially in these times, can't consider owning this item when it's not a complete show, more of a compilation. If I did buy this, it would be for listening. But that's me, I can understand your collecting records for artifacts, and I can respect that.

I got my vinyl for $125 sealed here in St. Louis last February (2008). I ripped it open and played it immediately. How do you even know there is a vinyl in there unless you listen to it? Plus the poster rocks that comes with it.
I got my cd back in 2000 when a vintage vinyl employee broke a window when we were playing wiffle ball in the store after hours. I also got the double sided live on 2 legs poster that night.
I had been wanting the vinyl for years... I got mine off of craigslist.
BTW, my Soldier Field LP is opened, and played maybe once.
I purchased an un-opened copy of bob dylan's greatest hits II. Damn thing hadn't been opened in 30+ years and had 2 of the first LP's in it instead of one of each. I also had an un-opened copy of Neil Young's "Comes the Time" The record had been in the family since its release and just never opened bc there was a duplicate. I gave away the duplicate and opened it to find a cracked LP.
The soldier field vinyl needs to be opened at least to free the poster inside. It's on very thin paper and eventually time will cause that crease to tear and come apart.
snipe it baby!

Oh dear, I know this theory only too well.....
I've always wanted to get my hands on the Soldier Field vinyl but to be honest its going for so much now im giving it a miss. It is a bootleg after all.
