Ever listen to a song or an album for the first time, or for the 60th time, and get tears in your eyes, and a lump in your throat?
What albums have had this sort of an impact on you?

I listened to the original today actually. Dear lord its bad!0 -
There are loads of songs that have this effect on me, but none more so than the title track from Ask Me No Questions by Bridget St. John, released on John Peel's Dandelion Label and featuring John Martyn on guitar. Live/later versions don't have the effect on me that this original version has.0

"i will follow you into the dark" - death cab for cutie
i've always thought of my grandparents when i would hear this song...especially when they were alive. the fact that they both just passed a week apart from each other makes it almost unbearable to even think of the song. i cried when i heard the song live a couple years ago...and i cried hysterically when i heard it on scrubs the other night. i'm crossing my fingers that they won't play it when i see them live again in a couple months...i may have to leave the show :(0 -
